This. Post-crisis Darkseid was literally everybody's punching bag. Nobody took him seriously, not even in-universe. It took Final Crisis to restore some dignity to the character.

What are you guys talking about? Pre-Crisis Darkseid didn't do much of note, and Post-Crisis he was -the- villain of the DCU. Post-Crisis Darkseid, relatively speaking, is much more impressive than pre.

Thanos wins both rounds. The cube basically makes him a higher galactus level being. Pre crisis darkseids omega beams couldn't do anything to thanos when he has the cube.

So the question being assed here is.....is Darkseid more powerfull than a cosmic cube?? The answer would have to be no! Giving Thanos a major power up like that while DS has none, is one sided, if you ass me!

Thanos with Cosmic Cube wins... maybe Pre Crisis Darkseid can make it interesting.

Darkseid never fought Superman in the Pre Crisis, in fact Darkseid didn't even exist in the Silver Age.

PC Darkseid is the same as Post Crisis Darkseid.

Thanos without the Cosmic Cube would win, with it, he stomps easily.

Darkseid got round one due to being physically stronger and more durable but loses round 2 because of CC sheer power.

outside of poor writing, nothing power wise. Apparently, the crisis didn't affect Darkseid, so technically, he didn't change, just the way he was written in a newly revised DC that was numbed down from it's previous (ridiculous) power levels changed.

Out of curiosity, what makes you say DS is more durable?

Considering that R1 is a physical fight you have to.

Superman is immune to the OB because of protection from the omnipotent Source not because he resists it naturally. The only character to tank the OB of their own accord was Doomsday because it is his ability to adapt to anything thrown at him. And that was post crisis. EDIT: and Mxy but we all know his power bracket.
