Popeye Vs. Aquaman

Both have all their powers. Note: Popeye might not be Superman or freakish, but his feats prove he can lift several tens of tons maybe more, run at supersonic speeds, and hit someone to the other side of the planet, even the moon. Popeye debuted in 1919 as a comic book character, so this is legit. Superman due to planet smashing feats would probably beat Popeye unless Popeye ate lots and lots of Spinach or something.... But logically he sould be able to hang in there with non-cosmic level people like Aquaman. Who wins this brawl. There is no spinach shortage and it teleports directly into Popeye. Aquaman has teleporting water to keep him fully hydrated. Both can breathe/hold their breath indefinitely underwater. Who wins?

this is actually legit i agree. pop-eye lifts 1000 tons in an episode i watched with my grandpa lol. popeye might be able to take on brock sampson. as for aquaman i think he can handle him

Yea im giving this to Aquaman considering hes as sstrong as Wonder Woman and Superman. Aquaman would beat the crap out of Popeye.

About bullets, Popeye has eaten bullets and spat them back. About Jean, Magneto, etc, I stopped myself at Aguaman, I didn't go Superman level. Hal recently shows he is stronger than Supes. Doc Strange, Thanos, Hulk, maybe even Deadpool due to nigh immortality, but Jean is nothing without Phoenix......so Popeye beats a Phoenix-less Jean.

Sure, why not, they can use whatever they want. I love Aquaman. If I were to make JL comic book, it would feature Supes, Wonder Woman, Batman, Hal, Barry, Aquaman, and probably Hawkman instead of Cyborg. Then as late comers I'd have Green Arrow and all the cute DC girls. :)

popeye gave the sun a black eye in his first appearance. He has way to much toon force

As I responded to Namor, my top faves from Marvel are Spidey, the Norse and Greek pantheons, and Hulk and Skaar. I know lots about Hulk. But remember I believe due to feats that Marvel >>> DC, so that would mean Hulk >>> Supes in my book. I think most Marvel characters would beat Popeye, especially when Spidey took out Supes in one punch during crossover........ Supes of New Earth, unless you were to get technical, is definitely more than Popeye can handle. And Hal > New Earth Supes. Out of common DC guys, Popeye could fight Aquaman/Atlanteans, Green Arrow and team, Batman and team, Flashes, Hawkman..........

@King_Namor: I dont think Popeye can destroy a planet like World Breaker Hulk can. Hulk maes apperances in Namor comics you should know Hulk is damn good.

Although I would have to agree that Hulk > Popeye, maybe Popeye could disorient Hulk with his sailor skills. 

I choose Aquaman, as worthless as the character is.

Popeye apparently can throw aircraft carrier navy ships as well as kill the sun. Still looking for those scans/videos. He would easily take out Earth-2 Superman. (Could not move heavenly bodies from their orbit, not stronger than a comet, etc.)

Popeye. My backing: Popeye meets Sinbad the Sailor. His boat gets wreaked by a roc and it takes Olive, his reaction? Pick up his other buddy with one arm, swim the rest of the way to Sinbad's island in a few seconds, casually strolls in and scares off some of Sinbad's pet lions, drills through a wall using his fists, gets picked up by previously mentioned roc and flown into a distant volcano, returns from said volcano in a few more seconds on foot while carrying a roast roc on a plate, knocks out a two-headed giant, and then takes a heck of a beating from Sinbad before even reaching for the spinach, after which it turned into a slaughter and Popeye took over the island. Popeye has the old-school cartoon invulnerability and super-strength, where anyone can punch someone through several walls and that person comes back for more. Aquaman's strong, but Popeye's ridiculously strong. If Aquaman gets sea creature back up, it would just follow my backing where Popeye breezes through the minions, has a few that give him a few seconds, but he takes care of them without even going for the spinach.
