Zeus is not higher up on the scale per say. Zeus, Pluto and Poseidon all drew lots over who would win each domain, Poseidon won the seas, Zeus the heaven and Pluto the realm of the dead. They are all fairly equal.

Even if their domains are equal, Zeus is not just ruler of heaven, he is the ruler of all other gods. He is the chief god, the cosmic lawmaker and is more powerful than all the rest. Hence, he is more important.

Superman powered through a moon at almost light speed. He demolished an entire moon in one strike and it ko'ed him. That is a massively harder than blows from Hercules and Thor, both of which have hurt Pluto. Do you want to post us specifics or a scan about the Amazons kicking his butt ? Batman hurt Superman when he was wearing a powered armour in the non-cannon Dark Knight Frank Miller story. Luthor's suit is designed to hurt Kryptonians. Please try to grasp this basic fact. Doomsday killed Superman because he is an almost unstoppable killing machine that adapts to most everything. He was stronger and more durable than Superman. So what ?
As for your scan - please. Batman should break his foot on Darkseids chin. It requires beings of around Superman's strength level to hurt Darkseid as he is that durable. You yourself have posted scans of Orion and Superman hurting Darkseid. These are top tier DC powerhouses, to whom moving a continent is a walk in the park.

Actually Death Gods can die - at least have their form destroyed or be KOed. For instance Hela, a death goddess, has said before that she can die. Marvel said that Olympian gods can die, through dispersal of their a significant potion of their atoms in their body. Although the Death Gods act as envoys of Death, they can still be physically destroyed.
Now Pluto can be hurt by physical attacks and energy blasts. Both Hercules, Thor and Ares have damaged him with their attacks and we know that Zeus's energy attacks / energy manipulation can overcome Pluto's abilities. Pluto's durability rivals that of Hercules but his strength is rated at only 70 tonnes on the Marvel scale, making him the equal to Ares. That's a long way off a being able to challange Darkseid. So let's discuss death beams and death touches. Although I am familar with Hela's similar abilities and those of Seth, I have not seen an instant death touch for Pluto, especially for non olympians. I have seen him drain strength and vitality from a being with his touch, but it was far from an instant death touch. He drained Thor's strength partially (not a whole lot) with a prolonged grip.
As for the Omega effect being just pretty lights, down play this power if you will but the power has a massive array of functions over and above being a simple concussive beam, capable of laying low even Superman. The beam has been described a continium control power. Thie measn that it is capable of matter control (disintegration and rearrangement), teleporation (time, space and across dimensional boundaries), heat, concussive force (as already mentioned) and can even resurrect those that he has killed. At it's most powerful, it has destroyed beings of Kryptonian level durability and hurt even the Spectre. The beams can track their target, across interplanetary distances, across dimensions and even across time (when he recalls those he has banished).
He has displayed a large number of other powers including TK, Telepathy and some level of mystic defence and control of mystic energies. And this is all just relating to his avatar forms.

Zeus is significantly more powerful than Pluto. Besides being physically stronger, Zeus's energy manipulation powers have been shown to be greater in scope than Pluto's. This is why Pluto bowed to Zeus's edicts as an open confrontation between the 2 would end in Pluto lossing. Every handbook, including the brand new Marvel Encyclopedia Mythologica, has been very clear on this point. Posidon and Pluto are rivals in energy manipulation but Zeus is greater than either of them.

As I recall it Jack o'Lantern joined the registration team to fight with Tony during civil war, he and his pals were chasing down Spider-Man when Punisher came along and shot them all in the head. Stane (IronMonger) died by suicide, in the movie he dies when Tony/Pepper blow the arc reactor
