sorry for the confusion i just meant the first ever version of superman, im not sure what it was called i heard something about the platinum age so i was guessing it meant before the golden age.

Nah, Golden Age came first, there were no american superhero comics before 1938. Golden Age supes STOMPS Hulk, he was ridiculous

Depends which year. 
Later in the late 40's  GA Superman was starting to show Silver Age traits. 
However,  in beginning in the 30's he could only lift 20-30 tons, and couldn't fly, but leap really high.
