Not a stomp, but Thanos wins.
Is the DbGT Piccolo any different than the original character?
@tomlikesfries: No. However he survived Gohan's kamehameha IIRC, so he must trained a little. Not that it's matter.
Piccolo wins.
@laflux:
Meh, the Odin one is pretty hard to take out of context. I mean, Thanos doesn't harm Odin during the fight (even going all out does pretty far from it), but Odin really lets loose on Thanos during that fight, and Thanos looked like he was still doing pretty okay after that fight.
The last two are often taken out of context though.
Thanks for reading,

@VenomousBane: mmm, hard to tell, i'm fan of DBZ, but still i'll go with Thanos. he handled harsh attacks from Odin and Galactus, he can take it from Piccolo but with severe wounds. in addition, it makes no sense that Thanos attack a planet without prep, the real threat that Thanos has is his preparations, tech, and plans. if we put Thanos out of character and put him face to face with Piccolo, Piccolo may have a chance. Even if we suppose Thanos can surpass him in power somehow, Piccolo can still use Mafuba on him and win the battle but the problem is in your rules, Mafuba isn't K.O. or Death attack, it's a containment attack.
Thanos clearly stomps. How could anyone argue otherwise? Thanos can bust planets with the shock wave of his punches, can take attacks from Odin (and this is without his force fields), has TP, energy/matter manipulation, etc. Piccolo will die a horrible death after being tortured.

This doesn't make sense. Thanos withstood attacks from Odin and Galactus, but you think he'll be severely injured by Piccolo? What? Odin or Galactus>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Piccolo. So how could Piccolo harm Thanos?

Thanos stomps, Piccolo was never a strong Z-fighter and Thanos knows how to manipulate minds. But fight would change depending on which Piccolo it is
It's end of GT Piccolo, but it doesn't matter which version of Piccolo we're talking about, he still gets stomped by classic Thanos.
@Killemall: Really? I thought since it's classic Thanos that he would win. Any reasons why Piccolo wins.
Picoolo wins by farting a bomb on Thanos's heads.... No really. What thread is this. This is freakin spite. Thanos is on darkseid lvl, piccolo is barely at sentry lvl.

Its hard to actually draw a line where Classic Thanos lies, but apart from Avengers Assemble which obviously is Bendis at his best, Thanos has gone stronger and stronger throughout his history. He actually has 2 boosts, throughout his career and the power power (most powerful) version, without amps, would likely be the one who saw during Thanos Imperative.
The reason i think Thanos would lose is, Thanos neither has speed (he has enhanced reflexes but certainly not to a point he can match piccolo) nor does he have a lot of durability (at least in classic days). The Odin instance is from Blood and Thunder, which is after Thanos's first resurrection and the said resurrection was said to mystically enhanced his powers. Galactus instance is also after his first resurrection.
Before the resurrection, Thanos was actually physically struggling against Adam Magus (Adam Warlock's dark half) and only beat him via death stare (an exotic form of telepathy).
Piccolo much like every DBZ guys has only progressively gone stronger. He busted on moon during Ratiz Saga, and became a super Namek during Freeza Saga and his powers were said to have increased a 1000 folds. He was also actually winning against Freeza before the latter transformed. From them on he has only gotten stronger, has a healing factor better than Thanos in classic days, as durability against energy/ physically just as impressive, has abilities like being able to split himself into 3 etc.
I think at the end of the day comparable stats, better speed and better fighting skills would probably give Piccolo the victory. While Thanos does have telepathy in his arsenal, we are not entirely sure if Piccolo is actually vulnerable to such tactic.
Lastly, (for giggles) the pic is actually of an alternate reality (Reality 20051) Thanos as opposed to 616 counterpart, where lol he actually lost to Spiderman after he stole his gauntlet

meh....maybe when i don't have to blame you for certain stomp threads.....
Actually this isn't true. Thanos didn't withstand attacks from Galactus. As soon as Galactus broke his forcefield he stopped attacking him because he was begging for his life. Galactus spared Thanos, he could have easily killed him if he wanted to.This doesn't make sense. Thanos withstood attacks from Odin and Galactus, but you think he'll be severely injured by Piccolo? What? Odin or Galactus>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Piccolo. So how could Piccolo harm Thanos?

figured as much ........ fine, whatever you say, boss....
I wasn't arguing in Piccolo's favor I just wanted to make it clear that Thanos isn't capable of taking blasts from Galactus.@Vance Astro: while that is true, piccolo's blasts are not on the level og glactus and shopuld be able to hold up to piccolo

As far as Thanos that remains to be seen. He was there to prevent Galactus` error not to fight. There is evidence suggesting otherwise.
There is evidence suggesting Thanos can take blasts from Galactus? There is evidence suggesting otherwise.

Imo yes. For some examples; taking an undefended against detonation from a cosmic cube and not being damaged or even koed, surving a blast from a being twice as powerful as Galactus, marching thru Odins Gungnir enhanced blast and grabbing it, surving Makers attack with little to any actual damage ect.
Thanos may not be able to survive Galactus' unrestrained blast, but with his higher showing, he can survive destruction of the planet and Odin and Surfer's energy blast.
And, at least Thanos' force field is strong enough to give sated Galactus a headache, and survive Power Gem-fueled Champion's continent-shattering blow multiple time.

lol those blasts that odin and galactus used on thanos were not even powerfull enough to destroy a city let alone a planet
i would say a few planet busting attacks would hurt or even KO thanos so i would say piccolo has a good chance of winning this
DBZ logic ruins my morning ....... powerlevels this high = you can bust a planet. If you can bust a planet = you can beat anybody.
@N0tS0An0nym0us: Then don't enter a dbz debate, you wont miss.
Thanos speed and fighting skill nowhere near to Piccolo, he will punch a hole into Thanos's chest like Drax or who did.

The context and circumstances in which Drax was able to harm Thanos, are plot based since he is fated to kill Thanos, not piccolo ........
The Namekian get's his mind blown ........

Obviously you know nothing about classic Thanos. Thanos eats planet busting attacks for breakfast, and his shields enhance his durability even more. Stop it.
