no contest.. The Phoenix Force wins rather effortlessly.. even if you put together the X-Men, The Avengers and even the Justice League.. they would just all go down miserably..

if you must know, the Phoenix in its host less Firebird form cannot by any means wield its awesome power.. that is why the force needs an avatar to begin with..
plus, the Phoenix was needed to the in that timeline where those heroes sent it.. for it was the Phoenix who caused the ship to be in the sun in the first place.. the Force was just allowing the human insects do what must be done to preserve that time line..

phoenix slaughterstomps. starting with storm. and i don't believe the x-men have ever defeated phoenxi. except when the prof put mental blocks on her. but that did not last long.
The Phoenix Force was already driven back and bfr'd by 6 heroes. It doesn't have a host in this scenario so how in the hell is it going to fight the team and win when it was driven back by much less?
um does that poster really think that scan is legit? that was phoenix ressurrection a crossover between malibu and marvel. if written properly the phoenix would have fried those six heroes. besides needs to learn some math i counted more than six with topaz and amber in the later scans. and being displaced in time would mean nothing to the phoenix. it would just will itself back to the present. or just wait to be back in the present. time really means nothing to it.

@rbysjti: This is Phoenix Force itself, not Jean Grey with Phoenix Force, nobody on the X-Men is on the level to be able to take out a cosmic entity on the level of the Phoenix Force.
