Always thought this match could be good since both characters are peak human. Both in character and start thirty feet apart with standard equipment on top a skyscraper in New York City in broad daylight. All comic feats apply no prep.
Ozymandias vs Hunter Rose
I really like this matchup... Grendel (this one, at least) and Ozymandias remind me of each other so much.
I haven't read much into Grendel, but from what I've heard he stalemated a werewolf named Argent. Any other good feats for him? I'm reserving judgment until I know more.
I'm fairly familiar with Ozy.
Grendel automatically wins if this is true:
He could deflect bullets fired at him from point blank range back at their shooter.
Yeah, Grendel stomps, if the wiki is correct:
The first time they meet, Grendel is able to sneak up Batman without detection and kicks him off a roof. The second time, they clash briefly but Grendel leads him on a chase and runs away, since his plan had not yet reached fruition. Batman remarks on his lightning speed. The third time, Batman manages to beat him in hand-to-hand combat after a lengthy fight, breaking his arm and pulling off his mask--only to find that he has replicated his mask on his face using make-up. Grendel then escapes.
Feats for Hunter Rose?

@aurelian: do you have any more scans from their fight?
Oh hell, I was just going to make this battle.
I think it would be a great fight.
Anyone else looking for scans for Hunter, please check out my respect thread.
Also an interesting question: who had more of a long-term impact on their world? Ozymandias obviously instituted world peace through enormous manipulation of world events and powerful characters, while Rose was "only" a hugely successful crime boss. BUT, Hunter's legacy extended down to multiple other Grendel's taking his name, leading ultimately to a world-wide Grendel cult after a nuclear war, and culminating in Orion Assante taking over the world, essentially creating a world-wide religion in Hunter's name. @nelomaxwell, any thoughts? I don't remember Ozymandias's speed in the comics in terms of specific feats, but in the movie he catches a bullet and engages in combat against Rorschach, Night Owl, and Silk Spectre at speeds far beyond what the others can match, defeating them all.
@owie: This is a toss up. I'd say 5/10 either way. I don't think his speed was the issue. None of the other people were as skilled as he was, he trained far harder than the others did. I think based on Hunter's opponents he could stack up to Ozy.

Yeah, I definitely don't think Hunter is going to do worse than 5/10. As is often the case I think his fork may give him the edge. Without that, probably 5/10 like you say.
