#4 Posted by EdwardWindsor (14402 posts) - - Show Bio

ozymandis batman is a great h2h fighter but  ozy is a beast

#5 Posted by castleking (24119 posts) - - Show Bio
batman would rip him a new one.... ozy has never faced a competent fighter before his world is vastly different then the DCU... ozy would curl up in tears if he had to face someone like killer cro

I go with Veidt.
#7 Posted by DaMainMan (801 posts) - - Show Bio

I say Bruce Wayne but was Veidt superhuman or just super good? The book didn't make him seem to be superhuman.
#8 Posted by Fortified_Hooligan (1975 posts) - - Show Bio

Not superhuman, just Peak human.

But REALLY peak human, all around.
#9 Posted by castleking (24119 posts) - - Show Bio
he was as near perfect as you could get in his world olympic lvl agility, fair knowledge of fighting skills vastly different from the DC/marvel peak standard and MA mastery/

Batman.

The only "impressive" combat feats Veight are barely being able to take a bullet (which Batman can do easily with his armor), beating up a 60 year old vet, taking down a mook with a gun that he knew was coming and beating up two decent street brawlers (one of which was completely out of shape) at the same time when he knew they were coming.

When you really think about it, none of that is anything compared to what Batman does on a daily basis.

Veidt didn't "take a bullet", he caught it, which is something I've never seen Batman do.
#12 Posted by Fortified_Hooligan (1975 posts) - - Show Bio

He didnt take a bullet, he caught it.
#13 Edited by Zoom (14668 posts) - - Show Bio

He caught it and it bloodied up his hand and knocked the wind out of him.  If Batman took a bullet to the chest, nothing would happen.

Batman takes gangs of people with machine guns down all the time.  Veight barely beat a girl who irrc had never even used a gun before.

Ozymandias caught the bullet in the Graphic Novel as well.

yes he caught  "one"  bullet from a hand gun... as impressive as that is it has no place in this fight bats isnt bringing a gun here... he is bringing his utility belt and massive decades of feats against ozy's one feat.
#17 Posted by #1ElderScrollsFan (1991 posts) - - Show Bio

Batman
#18 Posted by Caligula (12417 posts) - - Show Bio

Batman. easily.

Ozy has an extreme lack of feats. He is only talented with prep.
#19 Posted by Dro (941 posts) - - Show Bio

Is it just me or does Rorschach look kind of like he's pretending to be a zombie in that picture?

#20 Posted by comedian212 (16 posts) - - Show Bio

Batman has just been through too much too let this guy beat him

#21 Posted by Superparody (2011 posts) - - Show Bio
@castleking:
Do you know how fast you have to be to catch a bullet... even batman cant move that fast

This pretty much sums it up.

The Dark Knight wins here

Batman.
#26 Posted by CAPiTA (1520 posts) - - Show Bio

Batman easily. Ozy has nothing on him.

#27 Posted by why so serious (1388 posts) - - Show Bio

I think batman.
#28 Posted by Aronmorales (9434 posts) - - Show Bio

Batman; they both are just about on-par with one another, but Batman is the good guy, and as we all know the good guy always wins...
except in the original Watchmen story, but that was only because good got lazy, crazy, and uncaring...

#29 Posted by Ferro Vida (34674 posts) - - Show Bio
@Aronmorales: They really aren't on par at all.
#30 Posted by GhostPool (663 posts) - - Show Bio

Ozy is a good Fighter but Bats can out smart him.So i go with Bats

Ozy's only combat feats are beating up two middle-aged men with decent fighting skills, one of whom is severely out of shape and killing the Comedian, who was a bit past his prime by that point.
#32 Posted by BarryWest (52 posts) - - Show Bio

It wouldnt be easy, but Batman takes this. Batman has gone against way tougher opponents.

How so?
#34 Posted by King Quisling (1980 posts) - - Show Bio

Not enough info on Ozy to make an accurate judgement but Batman always wins!

#35 Posted by Son_of_Magnus (15258 posts) - - Show Bio

Ozy has no chance of winning what so ever

Batman is one of the top fighters in the DCU, while Ozy has no exceptional feats that come to mind and it has not been stated what formal training he has, if he has any.

Which one you wanna debate this in? :P
#41 Posted by Andferne (38808 posts) - - Show Bio
@Ferro Vida: The other one was set up with 2 matches. One with prep the other without.

@TheDrifter:
We'll go to the other one since it has two matches.

Batman would win, but it wouldn't be easy. Ozymandias is a good fighter in his own right. But Batman has studied in more forms of martial arts and has had more training. It would be a good fight to see, though.

yep, agreed.  People who are saying that this would be an easy fight must really be on something.

Batman, but barely.  They are both peak all around, but Batman has beaten opponents a lot more formidable than anyone Ozymandias has ever defeated.

#47 Posted by Static Shock (47329 posts) - - Show Bio

Those that think Batman would barely win, after he's had thousands of martial arts showings to his name, need to do some research. Batman win with ease.

#48 Posted by MKF30 (11635 posts) - - Show Bio

Batman can take just about anyone at his full potential IMO via martial arts, he has this....

#49 Posted by why so serious (1388 posts) - - Show Bio

Here are some feats by Ozymandias.

Ozymandias dodging and deflecting bullets with ease while closing the distance to beat the cow out of the assasin.

Ozymandias catches a bullet fired by a trained vigilante at POINT BLACK RANGE.

Feats which shows Ozymandias ability not only able to react to the bullet being fired, but predict the time and the place the bullet will be fired.

Ozymandias takes out Rorschach with one hand effortlessly and jokingly with his back turned and while eating.

Ozymandias blocks LAZER attacks effortlessly, with his back turned.
And then he destroys Nite Owl casually with a dish.

To sum this up, Ozymandias has a fair chance of winning here.
