Orion vs superman

Could really use some stats for this battle.
 
Overall I'd say Orion should win a majority as long as he gets his chair and access to the Astro Force.

Orion should win. I'm pretty sure Orion is a better fighter.

Orion. In those scans, Orion was only fighting with brute force and didn't use the astro-force to its full extent. He stated once that he holds back his astro-force against Superman and he once actually one-shotted Superman with the astro-force. Physically, he and Superman are about equal, but the astro-force makes Orion superior in overall power.

Orion. He could use his Astro force to distract Supes and go in for the "kill" while Supes is dazed.

Orion with astro force beats Superman, without it i'd say a stalemate or possibly Superman.

The best Superman can hope for is maybe a stalemate. He and Orion have always shown to be about physically equal. Orion has never used the Astro-force very much against him. And as I've said, Orion once one-shotted Superman with it. "

I am still going with Supes on this. When serious Superman is Smart enough to throw down with orion and beat him. The astro force is powerful . I would like to see him hit Superman Blitzing him with all His powers..

This battle orion vs superman can last forever as well as superman vs darkseid all three...... have tremendous amount of durability and strength base equally ,the superman and darkseid can battle all day as well with orion anyone could win sterling. Even if one of them losses that does not mean he will losses second time in fight, man of steel has little advantage to orion he beat him several times in comic that also make orion superman s arch enemy like darkseid is not for no reason superman arch enemy,because man of steel can match both of them with no problem see this photos.

Orion at his full potential can beat Superman.

@rankomarinkovic: Superman is stronger than Orion physically, but with his full powers he beat Darkseid. Darkseid's whooped Superman 97% of the time. Saying this as a huge Superman fanboy.

Orion; he's one knocked out Superman twice with the Astro Force. Once in Superman Confedential and once in Death Of The New Gods. And while they are physical equals Orion has his Mother Box which grants him a whole host of powers.

To be fair Supes hadn't fully recovered from his battle with Kalibak and Mantis

One is a cover from the new52 which has zero relevance as this was a battle with post crisis Superman and Orion and that battle ended in a stalemate.

One is from Hunter/Prey, Superman didn't lay a finger on Darkseid, Doomsday did, it's even said in the scan you posted.

And the third is from Superman Confidential when Orion had already knocked out Superman and Superman sucker punched Orion. He then proceeded to no-sell Superman's heat vision.

And Superman's tanked his Astro Blasts plenty of times in that fight. At what point was Superman knocked out anyway? They were slugging it out quite equally for the most part of their fight. And the Superman Confidential Fight involved a much younger, less experienced and less powerful Superman. On other occasions, Superman has fought Orion much more fairly.

@dondave: seemed like he was sandbagging a bit to me. Kalibak landed two shots on him, Mantis hit him once and that made his nosebleed. Superman didn't look like he was in any real pain or had even taken a beating. He was laying back smiling. Besides He and Orion have both handily dealt with Kalibak more than a few times...seems legit.

Any scans to show this or somewhere I can find this? I'm not saying Orion can't win but that particular fight went on quite evenly from what I can remember.

He later said to Himon IIRC that he was only coming back to his senses when Orion showed up.

@sovereign91001: Your scans prove @dondave's point. He was just getting his senses back when Orion showed up and sucker blasted him. That's not a proof of a decisive win, that's Orion using a surprise attack to destroy his foes, even if he hits Superman too. Also in their physical fight, it was broken up by Metron after Himon and Mr Miracle remarked on how Orion and Superman were too evenly matched to gain an upper hand. I don't think that's true but it shows how close the fight between these two would be
