Who wins this team battle? Standard battle forum rules, location, etc.

Round 1: All combatants have their standard gear, pre-new 52 for New Gods.

Round 2: Strictly hand to hand, no weapons.

I much prefer the new god team just because they have a very esoteric, Kirby feel to them that i dig but they just do't have feats that stack up. In truth they don't even have appearances that stack up. So, in truth, this is an unfair match up purely based on game-time. Also neither Lightray or Orion have done anything that Thor and BRB cannot duplicate. Maybe ten years from now, after DC remembers they have an entire pantheon of characters they could be using, this will be a more entertaining discussion but as of now it is a limp topic.

How do they take the strictly H2H round? Lightray is a very good strategist (as is Orion when written correctly), and I think Orion is easily the best fighter here in terms of skill. Lightray's speed should give the hammer bros a lot of trouble too.

Tough one really arguments can be made for either. Light ray have any great h2h ability?? Cause I know Orion the dog of war is good, Bit is his partner? Cause Thor is a born warrior, and bill never holds back?

@destinyman75 Lightray held his own for a time against takion and was able to speed blitz him once. takion was capable of easily one shotting captain atom, green lantern, and flash. he has brawled with orion although he lost in the end. he has easily created blasts with heat equal to a few suns. he was even able to absorb and redirect orion's astro force something darkseid hasen't even been able to do. and had the speed to stay ahead and run from the black racer. In my opinion he easily the fastest person here and might have the best energy output as well.

@theprimeeternal: The thing is The hammer Bros can absorb any energy Lightray can use and reflect it back Times ten...But your speed argument against Bill perhaps holds merit. I think it goes either way really

Then why did Thor get beatings from silver surfer, although ss lost 3 times to him, he was never shown to absorb ss's power blasts
