Null's stomp

Spartans are only faster but their weapons and armor are inferior to star wars weaponry.

I doubt that they can take their weapons with out getting killed by the nulls.

They still don't have the armor strength to survive fighting the clones.

Nope, two or one shots is all that's needed to kill them.

The blasters of the clone troopers shoot plasma in the novel a over charged plasma pistol can boil away the shields in one shot and melt the armor and mutilate the spartan if it hits them.

In the games sure, but a single needle from the needler in the books can make a armored marines guts pour out.

I know, I'm just saying that there armor is not that great, a blast from a clone troopers blaster is so hot it cauterizes the flesh instantly most of the time the spartans have titanium in their suits which is a terrible alloy to use to protect yourself from heat with.

Spartans probably win. They are both pretty much evenly skilled, and the Nulls have better tech, giving them the upper hand. The only problem is their lasers not being able to penetrate the shields of the MJOLNIR armor. The Spartans could penetrate the Null armor pretty easily with their armor/shredder rounds. If they have Covenant tech, then Spartans win easily.

This is funny because the Spartans in Reach can actually never die during battle.

@JediXMan: Master Chief has supposedly kicked a guy who was wearing titanium armour 20m away while he was in normal clothes, and he has enhanced reflexes and strength and speed, partly due to his suit. Tech is quite equal to SW, they have energy shields around their armour, and in terms of weapons it is irrelevant because they can take SW rifles if they want.

@Trinity00:
Weren't covenant weapons far ahead of Spartan weapons? And also, considering the Star Wars Universe is in a "place far, far away" and happens "a long time ago", It can be argued that the Null's armor aren't built to withstand bullets and that they had never encounted firearms.
@eisjfiejss:
-Gameplay is non-cannon. All the Spartans died in Halo Reach besides Jun.

I'll get some Spartan feats in a bit.

I just want to touch on something, can Star Wars weapons actually damage Spartan energy shields? This is always and argument when Spartans are pitted against characters using energy based weapons. Do to alien energies not being found, or in the least used offensively, in the Halo Universe, The energy may not be affected at all by the Null's weapons.

Just putting that out their. For the fun of the argument, we'll just assume they work normally against the shields.

I know little about the ARC troopers but your point here is moot. The marines and ODST's of the UNSC lack any shielding on their armour. It's merely plating, nothing more. The Mjolnir mark armour has the best shielding that an infantry solider can possess, far superior to even what the Covenant posses. It takes far more than a few needler shots to put down the shields and even then, the Spartans are far too fast to be tagged.

ODST have titanium armor and so do the Spartans, the only impressive thing about them are their shields but master chiefs entire team have out dated armor and tech compared to him which means less defense compared to him who currently has the best armor he can get.

Chief and his Spartans ftw....if the Spartans shields are strong enough to defend against Covenant weaponry and tech, they can also manage the Troopers firepower...This would be a good battle, but I see the Spartans whening this.

John would never sacrifice his team. Spartans were trained to work far better as a team than any other fighting force in the Halo universe. By themselves, they are still a great threat but nigh-unstoppable together. It would be an un-wise decision for him to sacrifice his team.

ODST have titanium armor and so do the Spartans, the only impressive thing about them are their shields but master chiefs entire team have out dated armor and tech compared to him which means less defense compared to him who currently has the best armor he can get.

Even if it were true, it matters not. John at only 14 years of age and just recovering from the augmentation process' that he and the other Spartans went through, absolutely wiped the floor with 5 ODST's who, prior to the Spartans, were the UNSC's most elite fighting force. As they aged, they only became more powerful and the suit amplifies their abilities by a factor of 2. An entire platoon of ODST's couldn't stand up to a single Spartan.

At the age of fourteen, the Spartans possessed the following capabilities and were only to continue to improve:

  • Enhanced eyesight- virtually able to see in complete darkness
  • Enhanced speed- able to run at bursts of 55 KPH
  • Enhanced strength- lift three times their body weight
  • Enhanced musculature- near-unbreakable skeleton
  • Enhanced reflexes- Twenty millisecond reaction time, even quicker in combat

The Mjolnir armour enhances everything by a factor of two and has the best shielding that both the UNSC and the Covenant can supply.

Don't know. SPARTAN II's were also trained from the age of six and have known nothing but war and combat. They are the UNSC's most elite fighting force.

I don't see how being trained since birth makes a huge difference really. What can they really do physically until a certain age?

If anybody is curious, here are some Null feats:

At the age of two (physically four), they disarmed a Mandalorian (Kal Skirata) and almost executed the lead scientist until they were talked down. They had already gone through training programs and memorized defensive and offensive formations. After being taught once by Kal, they were capable of reciting numbers in Mando'a and learned the language instantly.

As they grew up, they were trained further by their adopted father, Kal Skirata. They would take shots at scientists and miss just to piss them off.

As adults, because they did not want to be put in cryo, they took control of the ARC barracks by themselves (with other clones and ARCs in the building). Before Clone Commando units infiltrated, they were talked down by Kal Skirata.

They have eidetic memory (or "perfect recall"). When Kal bought a Submarine / space freighter, Ordo read the instruction manual once. When needed, he would look through his own mind to remember exactly what the manual said, word for word.

Physically, Ordo and all of the Nulls are noticeably larger and physically superior when compared to ARCs and Commandos. With two hits, he knocked out (or at least took out of the fight) an ARC trooper.

Not really, the earliest forms of the MJOLNIR mark armour only augmented by a factor of two. It's possible that the newer types might've improved further but there isn't proof.

@The_Thunderer: The majority of SPARTAN II's were smart, but only a few were tactically brilliant. John was one of, if not the most brilliant of them all followed by Fred, Kurt and Will.
