They're called deathspores and unless Ock desides to grab Red and hold him up so that he can look him in the eye, Red will never get close enough for them to affect Ock.

Did some checking. Red's arms are nearly indestructible, so unless Doc Oc has his adamantium arms, they are not stronger. Also, his "death Factor" is relaesed and anyone in the vacinity is affected. Doesn't really say that he has to get in close. I remember in the Xmen book, they didn't even see him before they got dizzy.
Since Ock is basically a normal human with robotic bits attached, the death factor would probably kill him in seconds. But that's not really going to be an issue, since Omega Red will tear Ock limb from limb anyway.
Omega Red may be overall more powerful, but Doc Oc has far more agility, he goes toe to toe with Spidey. Doc Oc is also more intelligent, his reach is enormous, and has four adamantium arms, if he grabs a hold of Red he may very well smash his face in.

Adamantium > Carbonium.
Doc Ock has choked out the Hulk. Weaker opponents have beaten Omega Red.
As for the death spores affecting X-Men who couldn't see red, I'm sure they were inside when they didn't see him. I'm sure Red was around the corner or something because his spores don't go as far as Doc Ock's arm reach. Post Edited:2008-01-11 04:05:05

Because Doc Oc is only a normal human being (and out of shape at that) I think he'd eventually lose because of the death spores.
His extra limb and reach advantage would probably let him toss Red around for a while but the Russian could take it and then the death spores would turn the tables.
But you're right about Oc being smarter. If he knew about the fight and the death spores in advance, he could probably whip up a defense against them. If so, he'd probably win.
But he wouldn't even have to toss him around all day.
He'd hold Red down with one arm, squish his head with another arm, support himself with the third and make some coffee with the fourth....while reading the newspaper with his human arms.
im going to go with omega red only due to the fact that his durability is amazing and just one spore or two reaches ock he has no protection where as arkady can take a number of blows from dr ock and be okay ... dr ock's arms can stop a moving train but omega red has taken his from guys that can hit like a moving train
OR strength > One of Doc's tentacles, so he can pull him close enough to spore him.
Red is a killer, straight up, KGB. It did take all the x-men to stop him and that's ALL they could do. Doc needs to slap him away, then, run as fast as he can go and pray the spores don't get to him.

If Doc Ock's arms are agile enough to keep up with Spidey, who is far faster than Omega Red, then I feel like Ock wins. Ock also has a huge reach advantage to keep him away from the spores. Unless Ock does not know about the spores and makes the mistake of fighting to close to Omega Red, I think Ock should win even without Adamantium tentacles.
