Old Jedi Council vs. New Jedi Council

New Jedi Order was supposed to be better than the old which was... sucking, very right-winged unlike left-winged liberal New Order. So will Old Jedi Order be stomped properly? Both Councils fight!

This is honestly more of a battle than a personal fight. It's 12 vs. 12, even if we go the common route and predict that most people shall be fighting those generally around their area of skill and prowess, there are still far too many options.

Yes, Luke is obviously the best of the best here, he wins against Yoda decisively every time, but he can be tied with him for some time, enough for many of the Old Order to cut down their counterparts if you make a proper setup. It is entirely possible to assign ones like Kolar that lack power to fight ones like Durron to mop up the floor with featless Masters of NJO with far superior skill, to sacrifice some "mid-tier" (within those guys) Old Masters to keep Durron/Mara/Horn out of the fight so the rest can slaughter everyone else and then dogpile the remaining ones, and get Luke down with superior number (I really disagree with all the scenarios of Luke slaughtering dozens of top tier Jedi), but there can as well be not enough of them to put Luke down, or the timing can simply suck, for any of the sides. NJO can properly apply their low-tier characters as an aid within specific duels to gain number advantage quickly... It's really not about how we compare their power, how their skillsets play against each other, as it's purely about tactics and strategy.

This is my opinion here:

1. Yoda vs. Luke Skywalker - Luke is better in everything, Yoda is forced back and has no chance and is slaughtered like worm.
2. Mace Windu vs. Kyle Katarn - Mace grabs Kyle's head and cuts his throat like murderers murder police or security.
3. Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. Saba Sebatyne - good brutal duel, Obi-Wan wins.
4. Plo Koon vs. Kyp Durron - Durron sucks sabering, Plo murders.
5. Kit Fisto vs. Kenth Hamner - Fisto better in fighting yes?
6. Agen Kolar vs. Mara Jade - I don't know, maybe Mara because more popular or something
7. Ki-Adi Mundi vs. Cilghal - I don't know
8. Shaak Ti vs. Corran Horn - Shaak Ti
9. Seasee Tiin vs. Tresina Lobi - heh
10. Coleman Kcaj vs. Tionne Solusar - both are featless but Coleman is alien and also man... I know it's weak choice but really 0 comparison

This type of battle entertains me. If this is too much for people then give up on life now. Everyday life is more complicated then this battle. Weaklings. I would've preferred if you would have done old republic era vs pre clone wars era??

@thevivas: your right. I didn't. That has nothing to do with intellect. It has to do with being new to comic vine. And I would say 7/10 times luke either speed blitzes with immediate tk killing a few masters or doing so with his lightsaber. The new order will win. They have too many raw feats of force power and ability. Well the main powerhouses do

Luke blitzes half, then leaves the rest to his team.

Luke solos.

There is nothing that is stopping Luke from killing everyone but Yoda right away. He can either blitz or use the force to kill everyone but Yoda immediately. He then proceeds to beat Yoda.

Luke eliminates half of them from the offaet given the start. The rest is academic.

Mace+Yoda can take Luke, and the ROTS Council members are pound-for-pound better than their NJO counterparts, not only because of better feats and accolades, but because they've had far, far more training than Luke's Order which should on average be a lot weaker than other eras for that specific reason. All of the prequel Jedi have trained extensively since they could stand in the ways of lightsaber combat and the Force; by comparison, most of Luke's senior members were already adults when they joined, and Luke's Order lacked the vast resources as the disposal of the Prequel Order.

Even the featless Councilors like Stass Allie or Coleman Kcaj have enough generic scaling to level them above their similar NJO counterparts.

New Jedi High Council only because of Luke, he is the MVP of his Team.

Take Out Luke and this is gonna be a fair fight.

Luke one-shots everyone except Mace, Anakin, Yoda, and maybe Obi-Wan/Tiin/Koon if they combine their defences. After that, the OJC are vastly outnumbered and outmatched. Luke can then beat Mace and Yoda combined in a gruelling fight while the other Council members dogpile the remaining 4 (and that's if we're being generous and assuming Kenobi/Tiin/Koon don't get one-shotted).

Non jobing Luke carries.

Old era wins.

Still this. Better fighters, better era. Not especially close.

Luke is obviously the best here, but i do not think he could take on a team of yoda, mace, and obi wan/anakin+another council member alone which is what it would come to. The main players on the new council are Kyle Katarn, Kyp Durron, Corran Horn, Mara Jade and possibly one or two others, while all of the council members except for Stass Allie of the old order are major threats. Anakin is better than any of the new order sans Luke, the B team is better than a majority of the lesser members on the new council, Obi wan is also better than Kyp/Horn/mara/kyle. Luke will be the last one standing on his team and I don't think he could win against such odds.

New Jedi Council with Luke as MvP.

On point, all out Luke can solo. But he never really is unless Abeloth is in the room. Nearly everyone else on the NJO is dead weight. A lot of them get oneshot by the uppers end of the PT council.

Without Luke, the Old Jedi High Council takes this in a good fight.

I personally think Luke is the main problem but eventually I believe the old Council would win
