You have an "Old God" mixed in there with team 2. Gog is considered an "Old God" in the DCU, during the war of the "Old Gods' he fled the battle field because he did not want to get involved in the fighting, he then spent lots of time drifting through the "Bleed" arriving on multiple different realities until he finally arrived on new Earth DC.

There's nothing stated that Gog was ever an elder god, just that he was old. I haven't seen anything in the DCU like the elder gods in Marvel?

The OP says "Old Gods vs Newer Gods".

DCU New gods are the 4th world Gods, Yuga Khan, Darksied, High Father etc. When "The source" created these "New Gods" he considered them to be flawed unlike the earlier ones he created.

3rd world Gods in the DCU are considered "Old Gods", I don't think DC has the "Elder God" classification.

A lot of the older gods are on a level where they are never really pushed to the background - they just sit around existing on their plane of reality. I doubt most of them even consider any of the current species worth dealing with.
