Which book version?
1st Age Sauron probably loses
2end Age Sauron wins with difficulty
3rd Age Sauron dies horribly

I fail to see what Sauron could do that stops Odin from one-shotting him. Odin throws Gungnir, Sauron dies.

@Spartan101: Sauron isn't anywhere near Odin's level. Sauron can't even beat Thor, much less Odin. No, this is a big mismatch. And that is coming from a big fan of Lotr.

Yes I read them all, don't pretend to know what you're doing here. This isn't a match. All have agreed. Do you see anyone here agreeing with you? Believe me I adore Lotr, go see the other threads if you want. But this is a total mismatch.

@Dark_Fang: in the books hes a ton more powerful that the films, thats why.
You seriously think Sauron, the guy that lost virtually every fight he was ever in, can take on a galaxy buster?

It's obvious you havn't if you think he's a threat to Odin.
@kingkronos: if you read all the books from tolkien then you would know of how he became sauron and his powers,i guesing your a big film fan.
@Spartan101: What the hell is the matter with you? You insist that you are right, yet no one agrees with you. Stop making yourself like you know what you're talking about. How does Sauron compare to a multi-galaxy buster? Odin's battle with seth shook all the universe and all dimensions. He created shields that protected cities, took blasts from SS and thanos like nothing, he can alter size, he took a soul from Mephisto, banished beings to space just by thinking, stop time, he can mind fuck entire populations, should I go on?
You don't know what you're talking about here, Odin is leagues beyond Sauron.
I read all the books, stop making useless assumptions here, I know how Sauron gained power and servitude to his master Melkor. So don't try to outsmart me, understand?
@Spartan101: Look, you telling me that I haven't read the books isn't gonna win you anything. It's just that Odin is beyond Sauron my leagues, and he doesn't compare with him. Just except it. I love Lotr books, I adore them. They are very good, but it doesn't mean that we should wank them out of their proportions. That's all.
What I don't understand here is why is Sauron from the 1st age? If the dude here has read the books he should know that Sauron is more powerful in the end of the 2nd age.
Also, Odin gets the Odinsword, really????

Well if he has all of the rings, that would include the One Ring so he's technically as powerful as in the 2nd age.

Except the one ring was created in the second age. Or am I missing something here.

He specified in the OP that it's First Age Sauron but that he still has all the rings. Chronologically it doesn't make sense, but he wouldn't know that because he's never read the books. Just another troll.
@Baldy: haha i use 1st age because i see it as a close fight, live with it,dont let it keep you up at night.
sauron easy, you cant kill him and he is practically the god of evil its self, I will wager sauron at full power and the 9 ringwraiths will defeat the marvel universe, anything evil will be bended to serve saurons and there is no hero who can match saurons might with the ring
@sirnicktheepic: anything evil? so like he controls mephisto, zarathos , dormmamu and others?
Sauron 1 shots him with the mace.
Sauron is COMPLETELY immortal if you dont know his weakness
HAHHAHAHAHA
@leonkarlen123: It doesn't matter if Odin don't know his weakness, with a galaxy buster attack nothing will remain of Sauron and the middle-earth and the earth and the entire galaxy.
