I believe Obsidian wins this, but I am no expert on Nova.

I just don't see how Nova could beat Obsidian.

@willpayton: @immortal777: Worldmind would find a way

Nova wins. Too durable, too fast, too much of an energy output.

Nova Prime also has matter manipulation.

@iragexcudder: Obsidian did fight the entire JSA single handedly. I do not think Nova can hurt Obsidian either(Obsidian reformed after being attacked by Captain Marvel's lightning). He also can possess people:

Impressive.

Yet Nova is immune to telepathy, when he has hit helmet on of course. The Sphinx did alter his mind and control him in Secret Wars, but Captain Nova was able to get Richard Back.

Obsidian is also weak against bright light. Novas energy output would lobotomize him just like he did to Ego

Novas energy output is incalculable. Obsidian would not survive, even if he TRIED to cling onto his shadow.

Nova is too fast for him, both traverse and combat speed wise. He can also channel gravity and use it at his advantage. Obsidian being able to change from two to three dimensional shadows would still be hit by immensely bright light, thus altering his shadow powers. He wouldn't be able to move.

FTL combat speed

7.43 Trillion times the speed of light

Obsidian will not touch Richard.

@floopay do you agree?
