I know Nolan batman is the best fighter out of all the previous live action versions but he's version of batman fighting skills suck. TDK trilogy display none of what comic book batman knows about fighting, all he did was throw haymakers, with a occasional knee up. I haven't seen a counterflip, spinning heel kick, or roundhouse kick in any of the Nolan flims, and he moves slow and stiff. Other hero shows/movies such as the blade trilogy, cap 2, and arrow really but the fight scenes in batman to shame. But let me know your thoughts my fellow geeks?
nolan batman fighting skills suck

Yeah! Batman is lame! Everyone can beat him! He won't survive a second against Steve Rogers that won't have the Super Soldier Serum!
And seriously, Batman is the Nolanverse did not show anything special ( apart from Batman Begins wich was the best and the most comic-book like from the trilogy ) in his fighting style that could suggest he is an amazing fighter.
It does not change the fact that the Nolan Trilogy was not about fighting and combat and DBZ epic fights. It not that kind of movie. In the Nolan trilogy it's not the fights that are the most important, so they did not have to make it a freaking Matrix.
@allstarsuperman: if you can upload a video proving a girl can, I'll be roflmfao

How the f**k is that supposed to help you in a fight?
Just thought I'd post this: Nolan Batman respect thread
@nyhybrid89: Wow with all your evidence and analysis you really convinced me. :P
Honestly, this is a tough battle. Galactus would probably come out on top though. Although Squirrel Girl does have some great feats... Again this is tough.
Agreed.
Don't agree with ignorant posts son.

This.
@marcus_halberstram: it helps by being a... Counter
I think he's a bit underrated, the more visually impressive people like Hit Girl and Black Widow get all the love for their fighting skills but Batman's general effectiveness is equal or superior and his skills should be held in as high a regard.
His physicals are pretty overlooked too, he has harmed Bane with punches, one-shotted goons, sent teeth flying with a punch, lifted 6'4 Ra'as al Ghul with one arm and tanked hits from Bane, a certified superhuman and tool a point blank explosion in the first movie.
His speed is overlooked too, he avoided point blank gunfire from two goons after having physically atrophied and dominated teams of armed goons.
His stealth is his most dramatic and visual display of skill however.

I beg to differ.
Just because Batman isn't as flashy as some other live-action fighters, this doesn't make him a bad fighter at all.

for starters nolan doesn't really know how to stage very good action scenes.
Nolan is actually pretty good with car chases and gunfights and stuff like that. It's hand-to-hand combat he doesn't quite understand.
Stop. People who use roundhouse kicks in actual combat are the ones who suck. Baleman's combat skills might look worse, but equalize his and Batfleck's stats and i would go with Baleman every time in a real fight.
@pimonster31415: Oh please . You are just embarrassing yourself . Batfleck . Bale in fighting any day
Dudes he sucked....... He could not beat dogs without throwing them off roofs. And he was getting knocked around by Joker and his goons.
He NEVER won a fight through skill. Ras beat him, then Batman/Gordon just blew up the bridge. He beat Bane purely on dumb luck, not by out smarting him or out fighting him.
He didn't suck, it just looked like he sucked. There's a difference.
I don't know how many here have been in real fights, but they DON'T look very cool. Most actually look a little silly when viewed from outside...y'know...if you ignore the blood and the grunts and occasional screaming.

That's the problem with most people these days, they're used to flying kicks, back flips and fancy choreography like in the MCU and if you aren't doing that then you must suck. But Nolan stated he wanted Batman's style to be realistic and effective, which it was.
So just because his fighting style didn't feature any fancy Kung Fu mumbo jumbo, he is supposed to be a poor fighter?. It got the job done for him (not counting his first fight with Bane, but those were under extenuating circumstances) so that's all that counts at the end of the day. That's how real life fights, that don't happen for showmanship purposes, ,more or less look like anyway and I am not surprised Nolan went with that. You know, with his whole grounded and a more deconstructed take on Batman and all.
