I'm going with Zarathos. He beat Noble Kale once before, and Noble Kale (along with Vengeance) are actually fragments of Zarathos. Zarathos' full power is equal to or greater than Mephisto's.

From what I remember, Mephisto became aware of Zarathos' power and, worried that he'd try to take Mephisto's throne, concocted a way to weaken Zarathos using Centurious and imprisoned Zarathos inside the Soul Crystal.
