Nightwing vs Wolverine

- No prep, random encounter, morals on

- No adamantium and no healing factor for Wolverine, no suit or gadgets for Nightwing

- Pure H2H battle, who wins and why?

Agreed. And Wolverine still has his superior stats even without the healing factor and adamantium.

Wolverine still wins, he still has claws and his skills, he is far superior to Nightwing in terms of skill, and his claws are just as good as Nightwings equipment(well maybe not quite but they're still useful).

You give Nightwing a staff and name him Batman, he can beat anyone without powers.

I think Wolverine can beat Batman too. I just try to stay out of those threads due to overly enthusiastic fans.

Batman and Hulk both have fans like that. And recently I have noticed some extremely enthusiastic Flash fans. I didn't even think those existed until recently.

@IKnowEverything: the proof comes from the 1996 marvel vs dc crossover. spiderman fans are stupid because they voted for spiderman to beat superboy, even though superboy would kill him instantly

same with wolverine fans, they were stupid enough to vote for wolverine beating lobo and storm fans for storm beating wonder woman

when did wolverine become a master martial artists? i know he was a samurai and all and basically swings his claws around in every fight but i might of missed something. i don't really follow wolverine and his feats like that. Was he always a "master martial artists?"

I dont think wolverine is a Master Martial Artist, is he? I could be wrong, but, Wolverine has trained in Japan and he's for sure a tough brawler. But if he's mastered anything it might be one or two, i just checked his power grid on marvel wiki ( for all the good that is) and he's 4 out of 7 on fighting skills. I think people want to give it to wolverine because he's so gruff and bad ass. BUT, Dick Grayson is a master of many different forms of martial arts, and is quicker and more agile than wolverine.

Dick wins in pure hand to hand combat.

Logan. More experienced. Edge as a fighter in general. Bone claws (even if they won't heal very quick...or are the claws directly linked to his tissue generation potential?) With bone claws, its a stomp. Without, Logan 7/10.

Oh wow, thats new to me. Wolverine was a solid 7/7 in fighting skill for years when I was younger. Is that the marvel wiki that is fan edited? Or the official handbook entry for Wolverine? Wikis are usually everything but reliable... : /

Its been stated that Logan has trained in several diffrent martial arts

He trained Kitty in the martial arts used by Israel's military.

He has also has military training, and is a trained Samurai "which does involve h2h training". Ofcourse Nightwing will have more showings of h2h skills being he has no superhuman abilities. I am by no means some Nightwing or Wolverine expert though to blatantly say that iI am wrong without providing any proof means your not really saying anything at all.

Ah, I was able to find this over in the Wolverine forum, has some scans of his official handbook entries (one showing his fighting skill as a 7/7)...

Slightly? Since when is Nightwing enhanced human levels?

Look there is no arguing that wolverine isn't a h2h boss. But on straight h2h skills I have to believe dick has him. He trained under Bruce Wayne who to my knowledge has mastered all forms of hand to hand combat so theoretically do has dick. Dock has at least mastered a majority of them. Wolverine hasn't. AND as stated before by me and others dick has him beat on speed and agility.

A non jobbed Wolverine wins, but since he fights like an idiot in almost every fight and relies on his healing factor, I'm saying Dick.

I trained under a guy that mastered three different styles (which is a lot in real life) and I never mastered a single one. There goes the theory that Nightwing mastered something because his teacher did.

I dont know if I would say that...unless you believe the gap between Dick and Spidey in agility/speed would be closer than it is between Wolverine and Spidey (who I think are close, with Spidey having a bit over Wolverine in both)?

@Erik You are not a comic book character. Dick trained his whole life it stands to reason that he has mastered several forms of martial arts. There is no arguing the fact that Dick Grayson is among the elite in martial artists in the DCU.
