Nick's Going Away Tourney (Tournament Sign Ups)

Okay, as some of you know, I am leaving the Comicvine. And what really got me to join the VIne in the first place was RainEffect's Tourneys. I was hooked. Now, I have less than a month, and despite the boom of Tournament's lately, they are all Street Level. Which I dislike. So here I am to make a simple Tournament that allows a higher level of power for characters. I am making this one because I have more time, as evident as my last one was in a good tourney, It was too disorganized and a sudden influx of activity called my attention at work non-stop. That won't happen with this tournament.

Here's the Guidlines for characters:

No characters above the Silver Surfer. If a character you want can beat Norrin Radd in a fight without prep then they are not allowed.

Restricted abilities: No Speed Force Users, No reality benders, no time benders.

Can be from any company, so long as they have appeared in a Comic.

six members.

See? Simple right?

Well, here's how the Tournament's going to go along

It's going to be classic styled. Randomly, users will be pitted against one another and debate. Debates will last for three days maximum. After which, the debates will be open for votes by users, and then tallied for a decisive winner. The Winner will move on to the next round. However, the loser will still be in the tourney. That's right, the Losers will fall into their own rounds, where the losers of each round can debate amongst other users (If they so wish to) In order to claim the next available spot in the Tournament place. In the end, we should end up with an accurate (Or almost accurate) ranking for the debate skills.

Quick question. If a character can destroy an entire race with his energy blast. That race being a super advanced over populated and high level (say above Xavier) psionics. And with the same energy blast make escaping hordes of hell run back to it because apparently the fires of hell are easier to take than his blast. Plus has TK enough to perform Superman level feats, and TP enough to match say a non pheonix Jean Grey. And is sort of (ok is) unkillable because he's already dead. would said cahracter be IYO able to beat Norrin without prep??

Just asking because I'm still trying to work out if I'd be allowed Dark Nebula in this tourney

No they wouldn't. Shut up.

Well during the Vegeta Saga, Vegeta's power level was about 18,000, Goku's was about 8,000, and Piccolo was 3,500. Master Roshi with a power level of 150 was able to destroy a moon, and blow up a mountain.

Now Nappa had a 7,000 I believe, and he was able to destroy an entire island with zero effort as I recall, and he was well below most of these guys.

Additionally, by this point Goku was able to counter Chi attacks (which move at about light speed) after they had been fired with his own Chi attacks, which puts him at Flash level+ reaction times. Which makes sense as Master Roshi had hypersonic level reaction times and movement speeds, so even at this point Goku has to be moving in the Mach 500 or so speed range.

Trunks was able to effortlessly beat Frieza in his first appearance, and at his original power level Frieza was at 500,000 or something like that, and at full power was well over a million. Which means by this point pretty much everybody was Planet Buster+ and moving at near light speeds or higher. This probably puts Trunks in at least the tens of millions or higher in power level, maybe more.

Final form Freeza had a power level of 120 million, with Cyborg Freeza being even more than that.

That doesn't mean zip though when everyone's power is based on ki, and Surfer is capable of easily siphoning all that ki out of anyone. Hence, Surfer can beat each of my guys, and they are therefore legal.

Speedsters aren't allowed either, so all of your guys break that rules (combat speed), and that's all speculation as to whether or not Surfer can siphon ki energy. That's using a speculated loophole in your favor that has no grounds as to whether or not it is true.

@nickthedevil can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he wants this to be an even debate, and for the characters to be maxed out at the Surfer's level of power. Not taking advantage of an established limit to the tournament and use loopholes to break it.

OP says nothing about speedsters. It says no speed force. I'm hardly the only guy to pick fast characters thus far in any case.

And one of Surfer's main abilities is energy draining, like siphoning the gamma from Hulk. Ki should be no different.

I don't see anyone who is in the Speedster category on someone's team. It was stated in the draft thread page we have all been discussing this thread on. Ki is spiritual energy which is probably psionic energy, something I do not believe the Silver Surfer can drain. I'm pretty sure everybody wants an even debate here...we'll have to wait for @nickthedevil's ruling, but I mean come on, your guys are clearly above Silver Surfer level, they should be able to speed blitz him dead before he even has a chance to think about energy draining them...

Captain Atom has already been chosen, I don't think we normally allow duplicates, even if they are different versions.

I am pretty sure you will be limited to feat before Mad God Saga in the tournament if you chooe Genis, well coz his feat after that make Surfer look like a wuss anyways :p and thats the limit.

Mix & matching feats from Thunderbolts & Captain Marvel appearances. Nothing Surfer could not handle. Plus Surfer beat him all the times they fought.

Add Legion.

Captain Atom has already been chosen, I don't think we normally allow duplicates, even if they are different versions.

Also, Legion is a high level reality warper... So he goes against the rules :P
