Fight takes place in Metropolis, Darkseid has just snapped Wonder Woman's neck. Superman arrives too late to save her but witnessed Darksied murder his beloved. Superman is enraged his eyes glowing red with anger as Darksied tosses her body away like a piece of garbage and utters under his breath "Pathetic".

Fight starts now Superman is at full power and the fight is during the day. This is a one on one battle no help from others. Winner by Death.

That was back in the beginning of the Justice League, Superman has shown better feats since then, granted not hits from omega beams. That was also Superman's first encounter with Darkseid, he'll be ready for Darkseid's omega beams now. Superman is also more determined and after seeing the death of Wonder Woman. I'm not entirely sure that Darkseid can deal with Superman's new strength level, being able to bench press the weight of the earth for five days straight. Also Superman is faster than light speed as shown in the outlaws comics.

Anytime Supes has resisted Omega Beams Pre-52, it was sheer stupidty and anyone who knows anything of Darkseid and the New Gods, knows the Omega Effect shouldn't/can't be resisted, unless Darkseid wills it so.

Saying that, Superman is somehow faster than light now, and if that stays consistent, he should pull of a win.

He still gets his ass whipped by Darkseid.

I think you guys are underestimating Superman a little here. Look what he did to Doomsday, he tore him apart.

I disagree. Old Superman is still way faster and more skilled, he tends to fight smarter and more level headed. And his striking power bar the planet shaking punch is usually superior.

Superman can't overpower Darkseid. In fact, the entire Justice League couldn't technically overpower Darkseid, they had to BFR him.

Thank god for New-52; finally villains are getting a decent portrayal and actually handle heroes instead of always losing to plot etc.

If logic were applied, Superman would blitz Darkseid. But he never does that to him for some reason. So with that in mind, Darkseid wins this.

It's a fight meaning they'll be striking each other not lifting which don't correlate with each other lol

I don't think that Superman would get one shotted again, now that he is aware of the omega beams he can avoid them. New 52 Superman has also speedblitzed a couple of opponents, which is what he would do to Dakseid if he was bloodlusted, and would be pounding on his head with at least the force shown in the H'El on earth story line where he shook the earth with his punches.
