@CitizenBane: Ah right, I've seen those scans. Has he done anything to put himself above Ult Cap's power set?
Not a whole lot of feats yet, but there's some stuff. There are descriptions attached because I've just pasted it from another thread.
Predicts that the antibody from the moon's next move will be the absorption of Stormwatch into itself.
Resists the Scourge of Worlds' attempts to use J'onn's telepathy against him and fights Harry Tanner who struggles to land a blow.
I don't have scans for the rest of that fight with Harry Tanner above, but what basically happened was Tanner tapped into some kind of power that made his eyes and swords glow (Tanner's powers haven't been explained yet either) and then attacked Midnighter twice; the first attack missed but the second nicked 'Nighter and he remarked that he was actually surprised.
His fight with Grifter in Grifter #7.
Grifter set off a flair in Trent's face that blinded him for most of the rest of the fight, he still got his ass handed to him.
Later in that fight Midnighter pounded his fist into the ground and increased the size of the crevasse Grifter fell into and sent a busload of ice inside. Smashing through a sheet of ice on a glacier in the Himalayas requires superhuman strength........I'm just not sure how much.
He fought and killed a Red Lantern named Skallox:
Annnnnnnnnd then there was this incident in Stormwatch #12 where he managed to injure Martian Manhunter by detecting an evolutionary defect in Martian physiology. I wouldn't really rely on that because it's PIS. The defect was supposedly in J'onn's nose, and so when Midnighter hit him there he bled.......despite the fact that in the first issue of Stormwatch, Apollo punched J'onn in the face as hard as he could and the Martian didn't even flinch. I don't think Midnighter finding a weakness in J'onn is PIS, per se, but I do think him actually managing to exploit that weakness makes no sense whatsoever.
He has a fight against Etrigan and a rematch with Grifter (who's received a major upgrade) coming up, so something solid should come from that direction.
(There's also the by-now famous incident where Midnighter one-shotted Dex-Starr, but eh)

@CitizenBane: I see. That does level the playing field a bit.
On paper, it might actually tilt the fight severely in Grifter's favor. I'm honestly curious to see what kind of counter Midnighter has to the TK since Cole can basically send him flying half a mile away with a wave of his hand.
Then again, the fight is being written by Liefeld, so normal considerations might take the backseat.

To be honest, I don't really like the fact Liefield is at DC now writing 3 series. I'm not that impressed with his creative resume.

@CitizenBane: Actually Midnighter didn't kill Skallox
He did. Skallox came back to life once his ring arm was reattached, but prior to that he was dead as a doornail. That's the way it is for all Red Lanterns, separate them from their ring and they'll die in seconds.
My man the Midnighter wins..
No need to bump a mismatch.
