Wait? As in New 52 Batman versus Marvel NOW! Cap? Durability and endurance I'm giving to Cap all the way. If anyone's been keeping up with Cap's solo series, he's been taking so much insane damage that it's unbelievable that he's still able to stand, let alone breathe.

As for skill? I don't know, Bruce definitely has stretched his creative and detective skills but I'd say they're arguably the same in terms of skills with perhaps Cap's physical stats evening it out if anything.

Batman. New 52 Batman is only younger. As far as difference go, not much. Not sure about Captain America but unless he got some significant upgrade I'm not aware of, the outcome is going to be exactly similar to previous threads where the majority has Batman taking a win.

I believe what the thread creator meant when he stated "no one word answers" was that he expected people to justify their positions based on logic.

Posts like "Batman", "Batman Wins", and "Batman Wins because he's Batman" are examples of what NOT to do here. Same goes for the People that Just say "Captain America" without providing any reasoning behind that statement.

Captain America summons Obamacare and heals all wounds instantly and wins in a flawless stomp.

But no seriously i dont like marvel comics so i have no idea what cap is truthfully capable of but i see them as equals.

Unfortunately, There's a small but loud contingent of people on this site that don't believe it's necessary to back up their opinions with any sort of logic or reasoning...particularly when Batman is involved.

The only real arguments made so far are by the people supporting Captain America in this thread.

I don't really see much difference between New-52 and Pre New-52 Batman, as many of the stories which happened Pre-New 52 are referenced. Hence, the usual Cap vs Bats arguments can be made.

So are only New 52 feats applicable for Batman?

If so, I'd have to give the edge to Cap. I haven't seen anything all that impressive from New 52 Batman, though I haven't read everything he's been in.

I'm sorry, but I don't know why you're bringing Gambit into this fight. Additionally, I'm not disagreeing with you about it being a little ridiculous that Steve could take so much damage but that same exact thing should and could be said for Bruce after being starved, nearly beaten to death and stabbed through the abdomen by William Cobb. And yet, he managed to get up and perform better than when he was at 100%.

I have read your current series, I agree that he has received ridiculous damage through the series, but you seem to be making a point not to mention the durability of Batman (without the suit) and his suit,which highly durable and mentioned to be more durable than kevlar.

Despite the physical status of Captain america, he has been struggling with people who have status equal or even higher, and yet having defeated most of these and this can not fail to be considered as also his gears.

As for the fight against Owlman, his "brother", he was getting dominated the entire fight and only defeated him while he became overconfident and began monologuing as usual. It had nothing to do with physical prowess or skill really.

The fight against Owlman has only proved the great resistance of the Bat-suit at the impact damages. That is obviously an advantage for Batman in a fight against Cap.

Not to mention that now, the bat-suit is completely bulletproof, indeed the bullets bounce when they hit the armor.

I think he was just referring to Cap's base durability being higher than Bruce, and despite the Batsuit's obvious strength, Cap displays an insane amount of endurance in Dimension Z - considering he has been fighting nonstop for twelve years in there and survived various brutal situations (cutting Zola out of his own chest, falling from an insane height and surviving, taking beatings from the Zolandia Captains etc).

Plus, the NOW armor itself is pretty solid. I think Cap's tanked a blast from the Aleph planet-destroying robot in Hickman's Avengers.

New Batman will obviously win with his gadgets,should've made it more interesting and asked vs Ultimate Captain America.

Now talking about gears because there are more ways to defeat it than just explosions and other types of physical attacks. One point that I cited before and wasn't mentioned yet is Bruce could be match people with phsycal stats above his own,such Talons,The Trench and Atlanteans (read JL 17),Clayface...
