Two different kinds of fighters. One is highly strategic while the other is highly tactical.

This is a tough one. If it is close, than most definitely Neji would win. But if it is in the distance, than most definitely Shino wins. Neji wins and this is and it is not a stomp as some people would say.

This is difficult. Neji's byakugan won't give shino any openings for an attack. He will see everything shino throw at him with great detail. If neji can find a way to bring the fight to close quarters before the insects can reach him then he will win. But if shino play his cards right and keep his distance then shino wins.

Shino is a brilliantly quick thinker, and kind of ruthless too.

I like Shino a lot more, but a low class Neji defeated the Spider Guy, he should be able to beat Shino too now that he is a lot more advance than he was during the 1st season.

U so right!!! Neji and shino have had the least shown battles of the konoha 11. I always believed that a pissed off shino would beat most of the ninja in konoha

Not only just Neji and Shino but Kiba, Hinata(minus the pain thing), Lee, and the others

Considering shino's insects devour chakra, he should be able to wear neji out, specially if he keeps his distance.But I'm not sure the insect clone will work on neji, as he was clearly able to see the insects in his body in the chunin mach. He should also be able to keep the insects away via rotation, but how long? As seen again and again, he tires out quickly when using his attacks again and again.

Considering shino's long range, and neji's need to go close range, Not to mention they don't have a large difference in intelligence, I'd give this to shino. (Long range fighter is the worst match for close to mid range fighters, unless you're as smart as shikamaru: kakashi)

Neji. Rotation to block insects, byakugan to see bugs, and chakra strikes to kill them, and knock out Shino.

Neji. He could potentially kill Shino with one hit.

Neji can actually see the bugs coming (if he uses Byakugan from the beginning) and prepare a way to take them out and play it tactically by using range to his advantage.

I'll go with Neji. byakugan,air palms,rottenshin... prettty obvious

@princearagorn1: This. The insects are smaller than a fingernail, and I think eventually, they will touch Neji. Shino isn't dumb enough to get near him, and while Neji is constantly using Rotation or 64 Palms, ect to destroy them, eventually some are going to catch him and leech him.
