Nations vs Man of Steel Villains

Assuming the following nations declare war on the movie version of the 3 Kryptonian villains (Zod, Faora, and Nam-Ek), how long will they stood up against them (in hours) or can they actually win?

- This is not cooperative, each nation stand on its own as an individual scenario

- The Kryptonians are bloodlusted

- The nations will do anything to stop the Kryptonians but are in-characters

- Each country has 72 hours of prep, Kryptonians has non

- Kryptonians have no terraforming machine

- Combined forces of all insurgents on Earth

Even if Nukes work though, I don't know how easy its going to be to hit blood lusted Zod with one.

They have prep, and the nuke does not have to hit them directly to work.

@jedixman: Not saying its impossible. just hard. I did a brief calc that placed their flight speed at Mach 100-700 (each number being the extreme end)

Zod can feasible flying around spamming laser vision.

Plus there is collateral damage to worry about. I don't see the US detonating a nuke at Zod if he's in US territory for example.

Don't see Zod flying around using heat vision. It caused him pain to do so and he used it sparingly. He never used it during flight.

11, with all of our resurces and prep time we could hold them off for years if not indefinably, he harden our soft points and hide our leadership we can last for a long time before being brought down, and if we have knowlege on the Kryptonian biolagy in theroy we could make a wepon to kill them this is the one round where we have a shoot at wining

Not enough information about the Kryptonians...from what we've seen thus far...all conventional weaponry is completely ineffective against them.

I'm pretty sure if we nuke them they'll be KOd. But the only problem is catching them becuase they may be too fast and get out of the area....

Not really they only have 3 people and that will slow them down considerable we can hold on for a long time all my estimates where on how long it would take them to defeat the open restance IE the milatary, gurral warfare will last years if not decades in most countreys the Resistance will win via old age eventually or we find out how to kill them somehow

@cjdavis103: haha well I mean superman soloed them so why not MM. plus only zod was able to adapt to his physiological changes brought on by earths atmosphere(though faora and nam-ek weren't really given the opportunity) so maybe he could take advantage of their struggle with the sensory overload once he strips them of their breathing apparatuses.

@cjdavis103: haha true but we can't know for sure. Without him I don't see humanity lasting more than 2-3 months, unified or not. The kryptonians would be on a ruthless war path and would most likely wage battle on an area during the day and as night approached they would keep moving timezones to stay in the sun. If and when nukes were used, they are more than fast enough to escape the blast radius, and in turn we would really only be destroying ourselves. At a certain point the few survivors would be more than willing to kneel before zod

You know... If one nation launches a nuke, not only are their chances of hitting the villains zeroed, it'll spark a world wide nuclear war. I don't think a nation would do that in character. Villains win.

@monsterstomp: yeah once nukes are thrown into the mix we're basically doing their work for them. We have no real recourse here unless one of them discovers some sort of compassion for humanity and turns on the other two, but that would probably only happen if I were given a chance to romance faora, and even then I'm probably not her type.

@drmantistoboggan: if we are united we will not be declaring nuclear war on each outer. And as I think I said earlier ICBMs and dumb bombs will joy work but suacide bombers and any assortment of tricks could in theory hit them with a nukeular paylode. And they have not shown durability that allows them to tank nukes.

We can easily last more than 3 months you have to remember there are only 3 of them and 6 billion+ of us. It will take them some time to smash the open militaries of the world maybe in the several Mountbatten range but there is more they need to do they need to subdue the populace, locate the The world's leadership who are hidden and secret Bunkers all around the world, avoid being nuked by suicide agents, find nuclear subs at the bottom of the ocean and hunt down a massive gurrla warfare movement.

At the very least we last 1-4 years if they can tank nukes if they can't then we can get lucky and kill them
