@god_spawn: so are you telling me cage can beat thing???????........what???? are you kidding ?????
The cellular regeneration experiment has fortified the various tissues of Cage's body, granting him a high degree of resistance to injury via skin that is as strong as titanium.
@@blackwind: actually you do, you cant just say something and then not prove it!! that renders your words meaningless.
@god_spawn: Did Cage take down thing in that comic?
@eisenfauste: Yup. He took out both Vision and the Thing in a punch each.
@god_spawn: Was he amped? I don't remember him being that powerful at all. Was Thor on the ground because of him also.
okay!!!!!!! now let me show you why thing destroys both namor and cage at the same time:
This is thing fighting and completely demolishing blastaar.
Blastaar has superhuman strength and endurance, and is incredibly durable and resistant to injury; conventional weapons and even ballistic missiles could have no effect on him. His superhuman constitution can withstand extreme variations in temperature and pressure. He is virtually tireless. He can live without nourishment for several weeks and survive in the vacuum of space by inducing himself into a state of hibernation. He can project blasts of highly concussive kinetic force from his hands.
@eisenfauste: He wasn't said to be amped. And no, he didn't take down the Thor.
Bendis Force.
Shhhh.
The people deserve to know the context. Current Luke Cage no longer has the Bendis Force so that feat is no longer valid.
he must have been amped by some force..
@god_spawn: Ah. Seems like one of his higher end feats to me.
@jashro44: I knew there was context to it, good to know. Bendis seems pretty akin to Loeb.
@jashro44: I knew there was context to it, good to know. Bendis seems pretty akin to Loeb.
Loeb force is nothing to the Bendis force. Say what you will about Loeb but at least he tried to have his stuff make sense.
@jashro44: Meh I haven't read any current comic's so I don't know about bendis but that showing reminded me off Rulk draining surfer.
@jashro44: Meh I haven't read any current comic's so I don't know about bendis but that showing reminded me off Rulk draining surfer.
That was an inexperienced surfer to be fair who had his powers for like a day I believe.
See Loeb tried with stuff like that. The watcher never fought back. Thor only lost because he was holding back and ended up curbstomping red hulk in round two. Bendis just had luke cage tank nukes, one shot she hulk, one shot thing and vision, and be impervious to carnages attacks. He didn't even try to think of a reason.
@angrir: Cage one shot She-Hulk and took out a city block with a single punch. He also took out Iron Clad, who at base is stronger than Blastaar and an old Hulk villain, and he thrashed Rhino, another character with at least a 30 ton edge on Blastaar. He was shaking the ground from his blows with Proxima Midnight. Cage ran with Iron Fist for years, he knows how to throw the best strikes he possibly can.
Blastaar is only class 50, has trouble with pre-annihilation Annihilus (the pathetic one), and was taken on by a crazed, dehydrating Namor while also having a powerhouse like Cyclops and the plot powered Steve Rogers attacking as well. The Thing has been hurt and tossed around by Spider-Man, someone Cage at base is about 2.5x stronger and could fight with before his amp. He's also been one shotted by Gamora. She gets trouble from random alien mercs, pfft.
In the same comic Namor stalemated the Thing on land, he had to sucker punching Luke and throw him into a lake where Cage was still tanking and damaging Namor with his attack. If the Thing was the biggest threat, he would've eliminated him first, Namor isn't an idiot. But nope, he went after Cage first, then Shulkie, then Thing last. Cage's power creep over the years>>Thing.
The people deserve to know the context. Current Luke Cage no longer has the Bendis Force so that feat is no longer valid.
NUH UH!! The only thing Bendis Force was guilty of was always making Luke Cage's shirt tear off!!
@god_spawn: Ah. Seems like one of his higher end feats to me.
It is and an extremely low showing for Ben, so anyone with a decent knowledge of the two characters can see why it shouldn't be taken seriously. Bendis loved Luke Cage, so he showed favoritism towards him quite a bit. I'm honestly just bullsh*tting this debate for fun right now.
@god_spawn: Yeah I could tell lol.
ben is completely immune to fire, I just hope you realize that....
@angrir: well he isnt completely immune but I know what you mean
3,600,000 atm is the pressure at the core of the earth, now a planet like ego is obviously gonna be much much higher, and ben survives that... so don't tell me namor or cage will ever do anything except become a silly nuisance
Namor has been a threat to the Thing for decades, they have history with each other. Your Ego feat means little to nothing when Namor has hurt the Thing, he's even one shot him before. Hulk has hurt and beaten the Thing. Hercules has hurt and beaten the Thing. Thor has hurt and beaten the Thing. Aside from one showing when Thor did one shot Namor (someone who threw Mjolnir strength through an amped Thing in the form of Angrir), Namor has also battled the Hulk (beaten him), and has battled Hercules on a couple of occasions, and has battled Thor. He's beaten Iron Man (another class 100 character). And while I can say Namor isn't going to get a majority over any of those guys, the Thing isn't either. Their last fight together was a virtually a stalemate until it was interrupted. The Thing has gotten stronger and tougher over the years, so of course he can fight on close ground with Namor, but Namor has other advantages over the Thing that can help gain a majority. It's a good fight, so let's not assume fish face is just a "silly nuisance" to the Thing.
well, I guess in some of your points, you might be right... not all of them, but some
nevertheless I still stand my ground
You don't need to give reasons when it should be common sense. Thing should never lay a hand on Namor underwater. No questions, no arguments.
At least Thing and Luke Cage have at least one thing in common...
...they both love a good right hook. :3
well, I guess in some of your points, you might be right... not all of them, but some
nevertheless I still stand my ground
Then enlighten me to what I'm wrong on?
@angrir: Titanium fist>> Rock face.
Namor beat up Luke Cage and Cage one shots the Thing. Therefore Namor>>>Thing.
NOOO!!!!
Your suppossed to be mad!!
GET ANGRY!!!!!
post some namor feats and ill post some grimm feats that overshadow his by a far margin
I told you your random feats don't mean anything. Because while you can post said random feats, Namor and Thing have faced each other multiple times over decades, so your statement of Namor being just a "silly nuisance" holds no weight. The Thing has been beaten by Namor and in their last fight it was a virtual stand still. And since Namor has faced enemies the Thing has, and I'd say has given some of them better fights like against the Hulk, Hercules, and Thor for example, he isn't out of Namor's league or vise versa. Like how you posted Thing beating Blastaar, Namor was getting the upper hand on him despite being dehydrated and the affects of the Negative Zone had on his body that sent him into a berserk rage. He also had Cyclops no visoring him and Steve attacking him as well.
So I really don't know how you can say that I'm wrong when A) They've been fighting each other for decades and never once has Namor just been a fly to him.
B) They have faced off against the same opponents on multiple occasions.
C) Their latest fight was practically a stalemate.
So while I do think Namor does get a majority here, it is a slim one and hard fought one at that. But I can see a case being made for the Thing.
@jaken7: Did you seriously use AvX to support your argument? smh...
