My Marvel vs DC

Before I get to doing the final round of my street level tournament, I thought that I'd make a forum to try to decide something for myself. See over the last several months and onward, I've been making a list about who'd I like to see fight if Marvel and DC were ever going to duke it out again, and I thought to help figure out who would win between them I'd let the good people of comic vine vote on it. Here are the rules:

1. Each battle with consist of 2 fighters as chosen by me previously on my list. Please do not add your own rounds that aren't featured on the list.

2. The first competitor to get to 7 votes wins the round, and once a winner is chosen it can no longer be debated or voted on again.

3. This tournament will have no one clear winner, but will be a continuing tally of which side wins the most rounds.

4. All battles take place on an abandoned Earth with no prep time given to either side.

5. You can only vote once per round, but you can comment as you see fit.

6. You may debate each other, but don't start fights or though hateful messages at each other.

7. All characters used is the most recent version of each characters.

8. No Battle Field Removal, that's the cowards way out and no publication of these heroes fighting would use that to decided a fight.

9. If a character is currently dead, just go off of where they were at before they died.

10. If you do look at the list this is based on, please don't vote for any given match-up before it's posted here. Thank you.

Now with that out of the way, let's start round 1:

New 52 Superman doesn't have the feats to content with a long-standing character with high feats like Gladiator.

None of the DC New 52 belongs in the battle forum, in my opinion.

Auto-lose by lack of feats.

@greenteaforme: you can use previous knowledge of the characters and apply them to current situations if you can't think of exactly situations to decide by.

I'm using current version, I vote for Gladiator.

@Mr_Ingenuity: I didn't actually, I said it could be used as a reference point to help judge the characters since the DCnU is still fairly new and not much has happened in it

It sounds to me like current versions including past feats.

@Mr_Ingenuity: partially, you don't know definitively yet if they can do things they used to do or not, it's too early to tell, and most PL is based on assumption so I'm trying to streamline the process.
