Unless we're using PC Luthor, Team 1 STOMPS.

Reed and Doom have this easily under control. Team 2 does not have a reliable counter for the magic of Doom. On top of that Doom is completely lacking of all ruth. Team 2 will be lucky if they can ever come up with something that will get through Doom's shields, and Reed is the king of the Deus Ex Machina gadgets. Oh look some kind of completely unknown and unidentifiable army is going to be here in 10 mins, In 5 Reed builds some kind of anti "them" gadget and spends 4 of his 5 remaining minutes explaining how it works. He then just hits the button.

@The_Soverighn: Yes, actually, he can. He's stolen power from cosmic entities on multiple occasions. That was Luthor's best feat in about a decade or 2 (not to mention the first time I've ever seen his armor prove useful.) Doom was doing that back in the 70's/80's.

Luthor only lost that power because he didn't let go of his hate for Superman. In a sense, Luthor beat Luthor, were Doom got beat by another character. Batman has never outprepped Luthor, and Panther isn't better in the prep department then Bats is either.

Doom loses because other people end up outsmarting him because he's such an arrogant prick that he thinks he's unbeatable. That's why he has a worse track record than Lex does. He loses because other people take advantage of his character flaws. Go read Children's Crusade, he gained omnipotence for an issue, got his powers stripped by Wanda and Wiccan and ran off crying like a baby

Doom conquered 2 planets before? Who cares? That's never been Lex's goal. He wanted to be humanities hero, not a sterotypical villain like Doom.

Guys Don't Forget Savage Has 50,000 Years Worth Of Resources For Terrific and Luthor To Utilize At Full Advantage, As Well As There Combined Financial Resources Which Should Easily Surpass That of Doom and Richards.
