@copete does it really matter? Why wouldn't Loki's misdirection illusions attack work on Magneto? Has he shown the ability to tell the difference?

@copete forget it, changed my mind, Mags could feel the iron in the guard's blood and Logan's adamantium, he sure can figure which Loki is real as he carries a lot of metal.

his illusions are too powerfull he fooled thor that he was dead in front of his eyes .can create multiple illusions of himself.

loki can trick magneto and get close to him 1 hit from him will knock him out for good again magneto is really old probably in his 70's .

I think it could go either way but Loki has the advantage with his illusion casting.

Except Magneto isn't a close ranged fighter, and with his lack of morals, he would simply crush Loki's skull in between his own helmet.

Furthermore, simply because Loki used an illusion to deceive Thor, doesn't mean he uses it in combat. If that were the case, he would have used an Illusion on the hulk, which he didn't.

yes loki's costume and helmet contains a lot of metal .. but not all the metals are susceptible to magnet u know .. for example .. magnet can't attract or repel gold :D

but yeah .. i can see movie magneto winning ... movie loki ... was.. really .. a 'puny god' :D never did anything impressive than impressive conspiracies :D

why would you wear gold as an armour? It's weak and heavy. It's more likely bronze or something like that

well i haven't check loki's armor .. so can't tell .. but i'm sure the producer didn't allowed to use gold in it :D

• Loki is a strategist he wouldn't run into the battle ground in person , he always uses illusions to trick them.90% of his battles are based on illusion manipulation.

• asgardians and frost giants are generally are tougher than metal , thor was crushing iron mans armor with his hands . heck he ripped tonys metal mask like a tape.

• yes it is, hulk tears through metal like paper , he has enough force to rip a tank apart by throwing it on the ground. anyone who can survive that is obviously impressive . heck even movie thor isn't a real match to hulk.

• are you kidding !??? ... loki didn't plan on fighting the hulk , hulk freaking jumped on him from nowhere. Loki was fighting black widow and was racing to catch his staff . no one expected hulk .

• and lastly we don't know what lokis armor is made of . he is still son of odin and it's probably made of something different , thors armor shredded when he was exiled from asgaurd and magically regained it out of nowhere when picked up his hammer .

I think Magneto's ability can generate as much if not more pressure as Hulk's punches, the way he just lift the stadium in DOFP, i mean it looked like he wasn't even trying, and what he did to bone claw Wolverine with those iron bars, that was like rape and magic or not metal is still metal.

Loki has a great durability, ok....

But nothing seen in all Avengers/Hulk/Thor movies even starts to compare with the Golden Gate Bridge.

Magneto kills him,using his own armor/weapons, and illusions won't work, Magneto can sense metal.

Loki does have some good durablity feats. He also grabbed Hawkeye's exploding arrow. Haven't decided who wins, although Magneto seems to have the edge in this thread.

Those who are saying Magneto stomps, did none of you see Loki's first scene from The Avengers? The man was literally bulletproof and was taking down Shield agents like nothing.

Not to mention, Loki's scepter would decimate Eric. He would have no way to block those energy attacks.

I'd give Loki the win 8/10.

Magneto can sense metal to a degree. There was a scene in DOFP where he was moving his hands, trying to sense and locate the metal room the president was taken to. I forgot what they are called.
