I don't think movie Hal would kill Stark. He easily could.
Iron Man wins on account he wasn't in a horrible movie, and he's not Ryan Reynolds

Robert Downey Jr. would cook that poor excuse for a movie's Green Lantern

Both are fairly inexperienced in using their weapons, but at this point in their evolution as heroes Hal is much more versed in military tactics and aerial dog fight maneuvering as this fight will undoubtedly take place in the air. For this reason I give the advantage to Hal.
However, the suit is pretty durable and an offensive juggernaught that may just keep Hal mostly on the defensive, I believe this battle will boil down to which will give out first... the ring or the suit? ....unless as stated Hal defeats Tony via superior battle tactics. Not sure how much of a role this will play, as Tony seemed pretty adept with the suit for a "civilian".
The wearer of the weapon that outlasts the other is the most likely winner. I think the ring outlasts the suit, based on what I've seen.
Hal was a pretty pitiful Lantern. Instead of simply taking out objects that Hammond threw at him with his ring, he was jumping around and kicking them back. Tony takes him down.
Hal is extremely inept at the use of the ring, he's constructs aren't very strong and he was KOed by gas tanks in a earlier fight with Hammond. In terms of areial combat Stark has shown to be an extremely good pilot and tactician with very good dog fight maneuvering in Iron Man 2 while Hal didn't display anything special. The repulsion are pretty powerful, capable of melting steel in blasts and has auxiliary weapons if i recall. Hal's strongest blasts didn't seem at all powerful and he's always relying on constructs which can be easily dodged and aren't very sturdy in any case. Give it to Stark.
Hal seemed very weak in his movie. Honestly I doubt he could even take movie Spider Man.
Hal had low showings over all, but I think that has to do with his rookie status. Right now, Stark has more to work with. Given a sequel for GL, I might change my mind but right now I feel that once Stark puts on the heat, Hal will choke and lose.
Hal had low showings because he left training and spent, what, two or three days with the ring. By the end he took out Parallax by himself. Assuming we're using each character at the end of their recent movies than Hal is going to get better and better the longer the fight goes on. I doubt Tony has anything that could get through his constructs if Parallax couldn't.

The Director of the film obviously didn't follow or even read the GL comics.......so that largely contributed to the sucking of this film........
it was a bad movie[green lantern] but still Hal takes this though, the ring just has too many possibility's and even though Hal was knew to the ring he still managed to beat Parallax and Hector Hamond though they were nerfed it is still a huge feat and should give him the win
You should really watch the Avengers movie. Stark was a beast, as he not only perfected the use of the suit, but also proved he had better feats than the live-action Hal Jordan. Both are fairly inexperienced in using their weapons, but at this point in their evolution as heroes Hal is much more versed in military tactics and aerial dog fight maneuvering as this fight will undoubtedly take place in the air. Well it would seem like Hal should take this since he has the strongest weapon in the universe but really sucks a using it, weak constructs, and not a lot of imagination, he mas dog fighting exp but and he can think on the fly. Tony on the other hand know how to use his weapon ( cause he build it ) and he has beaten more than one super villans.
Now Hal could grab tony and in a construct an lift him out of earth's atmosphere and keep him there till his air supple runs out. Tony is also smart enough to think on the fly and has a lot of weapons.
I will say Hal takes it just because he could hold Tony With a sudden burst of will, and the ring has a really impressive speed feat of taking hal To Oa and back before He Becomes a Million years old.

Wow. I don't read Green Lantern and didn't know that. I blame the writer before I blame the Director. I'm still backing Hal 100% though. He's got a frickin power ring man haha.

Agreed. Ironman takes this upon further consideration (and evidence).
