Movie Battle: Ancient Greeks vs Middle Earthers

Settings:

• Movie versions
• Achilles has his sword and shield.
• Leonidas has his sword and shield.
• Theseus has his sword and the Epirus Bow.
• Aragorn has his sword Andúril.
• Boromir has his sword and shield.
• Legolas has his two long knives and Bow of Galadhrim.
• Fight in a colosseum.
• 25 Feet apart.
• No knowledge, no prep.
• Fight is to the death.

Boromir is the first to die, of course. Probably by a spear thrown by Achilles.

He then charges Aragorn, with whom he tangles with for the rest of the battle.

Meanwhile, Legolas is filling Leonidas' shield with arrows until he has only one left. He forgets about Leo, and directs his last arrow at Achilles' heel, who shortly dies.

In this time, Theseus has placed himself strategically in a corner of the coliseum, and proceeds to shoot Aragorn down like a boy throwing big rocks at a paper boat.

Enraged, Legolas draws his elvish knife and charges at the camper, cutting him down with a good thirty slashes across his face and body. In doing so, Theseus' lifeless body falls to the sand, and Legolas begins to cry victory.

However, Theseus was smart, and flng his last arrow into the air directly before being killed. Said arrow lands right between the elf's eyes, sending him crashing to the ground.

Gimli, who has been watching the whole thing from the stands, yells "still only counts as one!"

Achilles has no spear here and Legolas wouldn't know about Achilles' heel, although in the films Achilles wasn't even invulnerable if I recall.

Other than that.. interesting scenario.

@i_like_swords: Achilles was never injured prior to his heal being shot. He was untouchable.

@monsterstomp: Yeah. As he said to the boy: I wouldn't bother with the shield then would I?

Also, when Hector grazed him in their fight he genuinely looked concerned about being injured, implying he knows he isn't invulnerable.

Leonidas shouts THIS IS SPARTA!!! the awesomeness is so high, that Middle Earthers explode.

Achilles looked more surprised than concerned. If no one has ever touched me in a fight and suddenly someone was good enough to tag me, I'd be surprised. Moreover, Achilles was dancing around Hector, he's bound to slip up.

@monsterstomp: Suppose that's a more accurate way of putting it.

Theseus shots them all with the bow because he never misses

Don't know anything about Theseus, but the middle earth team can take the other two with small to mid difficulty due to better equipment.

With no Prior knowledge Achilles solos in the movie he was only killed after being shot in the heel

Without knowing anything about Theseus, Middle Earth wins the other match ups

@buildhare: @sirdrprofessor: Ok so pretty much Theseus killed the Minotaur, and has a bow that can one shot both gods and titans with ease. He hit 5 people without much effort with the bow from above 500 yards away, keep in mind all 5 died at the same time or within milliseconds of each other so he did just pull and release shots. I think the Greeks win considering how Achilles can't really be killed unless they know his weak spot and Theseus is a great marksman, the Spartan is just there to watch

@hypnos0929: Okay, Theseus seems pretty good, but movie Achilles is not invulnerable like the myth version. My answer still stands I think the middle earth team will win because the starting distance isn't far enough to make Theseus's archery as effective.

But as SirDr mentioned movie Achillies isn't necessarily inmpervious to harm, he just wasn't touched by his opponents.

@buildhare: Yea human durability but he did survive being poisoned and as you know poison was like biological warfare back then.

Legolas solos

I'm tempted to say Legolas could solo, provided we aren't going by the very end of their movies where apparently Theseus became a God? I don't remember that myself.

Achilles should solo with no knowledge.
