People saying Supes must not know who Sam is or what he's capable of. He's faster and stronger than Superman. He's hypersonic in combat and tango's and even defeated a guy who's strong enough to do things like this:

And fast enough to play hopscotch on missiles in slow-mo and block barrages of high-caliber bullets casually.
@jayjaybit: it doesn't matter because the blade partially ignores durability and Superman demonstrad his limits very early in the movie. Also, Superman's durability is relatively low if compared with some MGR characters.
@m_man: Superman destroyed the World Engine which was 50x bigger then that.
He never lifted it, he only destroyed it so what does it matter? Raiden or Sam could have done the same by cutting it in half since they're stronger and faster by feats. Their sword can in fact cut Superman in half like it did all those robots. Even if you argue Supes is more durable than those robots, again, Sam is much stronger and has a sword that can cut through essentially anything.
Sam's prowess is above Clark's by a huge margin, people that are saying Superman stomps are ignorant and have not played Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Sam is a 10,000 tonner, hypersonic in terms of combat speed and has a high frequency molecular splitting sword. He wrecks all the Kryptonians.

I'm actually going with Sam. Sam's sword was strong enough to break the skin of Senator Armstrong, who was physically overpowering Raiden (a guy who has better strength showings than MoS Superman). He also has amazing reaction time.
Unless Superman flies and kills him with his heat vision (not his MO) or BFRs him into space (which Zod did, not Superman), then I think Sam has this.

Superman's punches have never hurt Sam in any media, so he must be immune to them(using your logic here).

Just my two cents: I generally don't take zandatsu at face value. I'd say it's impressive, but some of it I'd chalk up to gameplay. 50/50; I average it to 50% the maximum possible estimate.

Sam clashes swords with Raiden. Believe it or not, Raiden actually does have better strength feats than MoS Superman.
Whether it makes sense doesn't matter. Comparing feats, Raiden has better strength and speed feats.
