Street Fighter characters are meant to be meta humans, they are too strong and fast for MK fighters. Martial Arts skill on par with Demi Gods in the MK fighters means nothing when the other guy can jump off cliffs, dodge bullets and fire energy blasts capable of taking down 20 story buildings made of metal and cement.

Nobody in MK is defeating even the weaker SF characters. NOBODY.

Here are a few of the lower ends and the top ends all jumping out of a chopper in the sky and sky diving into the ground below without parachutes

Zangief proves his skin and muscles are too strong to be cut by a Katana swung by an enhanced fighter.

Giant Steel security door? No problem for a SF low tier girl.

Nash Speed still not on par with Ryu or Bison.

Here Rashid proves he would wreck Kung Lao

Accept it already. The weaker SF characters are all massively superior to MK fighters. Who can drop out of the sky onto the ground in MK? Nobody. Who in MK has a body durable enough to withstand a Katana slice and then break the katana by flexing? Nobody (Quan Chi, a higher tier fighter was killed by Scorpion and beheaded by a Katana) Zangief aint anywhere near Ryu and normal Ryu aint anywhere near Akuma.

Lao's hat kills everyone in MK, it won't cut Zangeif or anyone on Ryu's level.

Let this debate die already.

Street Fighter characters sweep

Just one the weakest of them is enough to sweep the entire MK tournament. Admins should close all MK vs SF threads like this because the answer is vividly explained and obvious. There is no debate anymore. :)

@scathanapprover: Agreed for the most part. Part of the problem around here is I've only seen like one guy ever do a good job debating for MK in general. Doesn't help when most of the fan base is out of their mind or using feats out of context.

Prior to the release of SF5's story mode, which was just a few weeks ago, less even, there might have been a case for most of the mid-low tier SF's vs MK. Now? Not a chance. The lowest tier fighters are all skydiving without parachutes and knocking in huge metal security doors casually, Vega is jumping 40 feet into the air like it's nothing, Nash is speed blitzing like Kabal and still not on par with Ryu.

Nobody in MK can hurt anyone in SF now that the weakest of the lot sky dive and be fine without a parachute lol. As horrid as SF5s story mode was, it really tipped the scales in favor of SF wrecking house. Flippin Karen and Ibuki have better feats than everyone in MK except Onaga, and they are the bottom tier fighters in SF!

Lol. Even then, not sure if Onaga can survive a drop from the sky onto pavement and be fine...lol

Even Balrog took an exploding base without much issue and he's low-tier. Does Mortal Kombat even have feats outside of one bullet timing thing?

@xcano: They actually have a lot, mostly from MKX comics and story mode.

For durability feats, nope. They don't even come close to SF.

Speed - Nash can blitz and vanish from his speed alone, he is a mid tier. He got wiped out by Bison. Ryu stepped in an won. Kabal isn't anywhere near that speed, so even casual Ryu can tag him easily.

Durability - Zangief's skin and muscles are superior to a katana slice, also strong enough to flex and shatter forged steel blades. Quan Chi literally lost his head from a Katana, and he is a higher tier MK fighter. People splat and die in MK from short falls, the lowest tiers in SF skydive without parachutes (as I mentioned before how many times? Guile, Honda and Balrog all fell off a mountain and were unharmed well before SFV came out way back in the SF2 animated movie)

What killed Shang, Raiden and Quan Chi in an explosion was tanked by Balrog and a few others who came out unharmed. FANG fell into a molten core of a machine and came out unharmed. The chick holding him vaporized, he was fine though.

Martial Arts Skill is still superior in MK fighters by a significant margin. If stats were equal, MK fighters would not have any problem wasting all SF fighters. Their skill is vastly superior.

Admins, close the thread, the answer was verified.

Do you have any examples though? Not to tout it as the ultimate authority or anything but Scorpion's entire respect thread seems to consist of just mangling up people meanwhile Street Fighter has characters lifting boulders many times their body size.

Scorpion- Reflexes to react to lightning, hits hard enough to eviscerate a head, can break out of an amped Sub-Zero's ice (normal Sub-Zero's ice strong enough to no sell missiles), survive being impaled (a lot), etc.

MK characters are pretty on par with most SF characters in physicals really. Reptile who can react to bullets spends the entire time getting beaten up by... Everyone. Strength is where I think most characters are lacking though.

@acrokat He doesn't react to natural lightning, he reacts to a clearly prolonged blast made by Raiden.:

@xcano: The bolt Raiden summoned didn't even touch the ground until after Hanzo saved Takeda. It was a normal bolt, not a prolonged blast.

Plus we see Scorpion teleporting in as the bolt comes down.

Takeda hasn't moved at all, even his bandana is in the same position, so I don't see how it was prolonged.

I have been trying to tell people this for years!!!! I remember getting into a huge debate with mkf30 and onilordasmodeus about street fighter's power levels. Capcom stated years ago, that that all Extended/Expanded Universe feats(though not Canon) all still represented the power levels of said character from street fighter canonically. Like the anime and comics. All should be used for street fighter. I'm glad that it's finally coming out in the games actual cut scenes. Street fighter is stronger!!!!!

And like I said before, BLANKA SMASHES!!!!! Blanka may seem passive or gentle, but if you piss him off, he enters an unstoppable blood lust. Blanka can tank attacks that can detonate whole neighborhoods, and come out completely unharmed.... just to give one example on his durability. There's is nothing reptile can do to beat the King of the Amazon!!!!
