Luffy needs more than strength and speed to beat Reed. Reed is all but immune to impact damage. He can go several times mach speed and throw 100 ton blows for all Reed cares, it's doubtful it'll really do much damage to him. The problem is how is Reed going to KO Luffy. Although Luffy has issues with piercing/slashing, which Reed has learned and developed resistances to.

Luffy's weakness to slashing is not an end-all instawin. He's more susceptible to it then other attacks, but still extremely resistant, definitely much more so than Reed.

Luffy's weakness to slashing is not an end-all instawin. He's more susceptible to it then other attacks, but still extremely resistant, definitely much more so than Reed.

I think Floopay knows that after the debate we've had. But Reed was unable to be cut by Daken IIRC. So I'm 80% sure Reed is impervious to piercing/slash damage.

But this ends in a stalemate or Luffy :P

This is a stomp in luffy's favor. Reed has absolutely no way of winning this

He was able to compensate his body to prevent Wolverine's slashes from doing any damage, so I would say with absolute certainty that Luffy being harmed by steel compared to Reed avoiding harm via adamantium is pretty definitive.

Again, I don't think either can really do much to the other. Luffy has no real way of harming Reed, and I dunno if Reed is going to be harming Luffy.

If they have full knowledge on each other, than Reed should take this. With full knowledge, his unmatched intelligence would put him leagues above Luffy in this fight.

Without knowledge, Luffy has the advantage because he's a better fighter, stronger, faster, and has more abilities. However, nothing in Luffy's arsenal really allows him to hurt Reed.

With prep Reed takes this, and without prep the two are again, pretty much evenly matched.

In most scenario's I'd say they are either even, or Reed has an edge, so overall I'd say Reed is the stronger competitor here. Which pains me to say that because I hate Reed Richards to the nth degree. I hate him so very very much.
