Who takes the win and why?
@princearagorn1: He actually has a good amount to make a case for Pre Skip Luffy.
Kimimaro wins. Luffy is extremely weak to piercing attacks....all Kimimaro needs to do is have a lot of bones sticking from him,
@anime2114: That doesn't mean a thing unless your saying he can't get pierced or Cut.. Kimimaro is extremely durable, agile and versatile with his Kotsu Kotsu Devil Fruit lol (had to add that,it would be a sick DF ability)

not really. luffy is not weak against piercing attacks, you remember the beating he received from Porchemy or his fights against Don Krieg/Foxy? he just doesnt receive a boost against piercing attacks from his df but he is not weak against them.
theres no way kimimaro wins against luffy
@lowlaville: Not true. Yes Luffy is more vulnerable to piercing attacks. But he is not defeated by just a few cuts.
Lucci was using mostly slicing attacks. Ones that could cut clean through steel and Luffy was talking them and coming back. A single hit from Luffy will blast Kimimaro away.
@blackwind: He is getting stabbed, not cut by kimmaro if he tries to close in.
Do people forget that kimimaro could harden his bones (not sure how hard but enough to resist gaaras sand coffin and this is while he was dying) against post ya luffy he'd lose but he'd have a good battle with pre ts luffy

Luffy was avoiding being hit with Lucci's nails, remember what happened when luffy got bit?. We all know Luffy nearly died after being hit with Lucci's shockwaves.
Now post timeskip, with Haki is a different story, in which case, this matchup should not even exist.

why shouldnt luffy avoid being hit by something that could hurt him? he still doesnt receive more dmg from stabbing/slicing attacks as everyone else so there is no weakness against it and Luccis shockwaves due to usage of his Rokuogan has nothing to do with Kimimaros abilities
as princearagorn said kimi doesnt have the feats to assume he could put luffy down
@simon_the_digger: No possible way for Pre Skip to OS.. did you see what he Tanked from Gaara.. If so you would understand how that will not happen.. Unless Nakama power is in the fight.

Since when did luffy use Nakama power?
@dbvse7: Can Kimimaro use the cursed seal?
@paulson3lt: Yes
Kimimaru stomps pre skip Luffy... Are you people forgetting that his bones are as strong as tempered steel ?
Kimimaro's abilities came from his kekkei genkai, Shikotsumyaku, which allowed the user to manipulate their own skeletal structure as a means of combat. Specifically, it allowed Kimimaro to manipulate his osteoblast and osteoclast cells, which are responsible for building or breaking down bone tissue. This ability gave him absolute control over the concentration of calcium within his bones, allowing him to control the density or malleability of them. Kimimaro also stated that his bones were stronger than tempered steel.
Pre skip Luffy doesn't have the strength to even crack that (though post skip has that Noah feat).
His reflexes are also not to be taken lightly since he solo'd 1000 KN0 clones without taking a single hit :
He was also able to defend against Lee speed seemingly effortlessly :
Besides he can create a full armor of bones underneath his skin allowing him to survive Gaara's sand coffin :
His Bone projectiles can crack gaara's condensed sand armor :
With his CS2 neither the pressure of a double sand Coffin nor that of desert requiem could even immobilize him :
Poor Kimimaro could have slaughtered both Lee and Gaara if his Illness wasn't screwing with his head... He stopped in the middle of the battle to allow Lee to drink some weird medicine [Sake] and didn't use his strongest ability till the last seconds of his life.
Kimmimaro is an underrated beast. He might be able to take on Luffy. It's a good battle, no one stomps.

You are wrong though. Its luffy who has shown nothing pre timeskip to put Kimimaro down. My post relied on Luffy's ability to attack and Kimimaro's defensive ability. Even base lee is at least as fast as Bellamy, with his weights off. This same guy failed to land a critical blow on Kimi. Lee needs to go gates, but we all know pre timeskip Luffy don't have haki, and defense against kimi's move.
Your assumption is wrong however. Luffy is especially prone to cutting and piercing attacks, as he himself is almost immune to blunt force blows. Its an abnormality to his immunity to blunt force which uses a special mention.
Is someone implying Luffy cannot easily crush steel? He was taking Rankyaku from Lucci that could easily slice through stone and steel. And he, without Gears pushed two buildings apart with one hand each. A few cuts are not putting him down.
Luffy crushes Kimimaro.
Fun fact: Bones are 5 times harder than steel and around 10 times harder than stone. Kimimaru's bones are 15 times stronger than normal bones.
Gaara could crush bones with ease. He had do do Desert graveyard half a dozen times and Kimimaro still did not die. Luffy is not putting a dent in that Bone structure.
Dont even compare kimis bones to some petty attack by Lucci. His bones are tough.
Luffy's been breaking things harder than steel since the begining of the series.
Don Krieg's Woltz Steel>Steel
Tempered steel > Steel
Arlong's sword=steel
Tempered steel > Steel
Blueno's Tekkai>>>Steel
Jabra, Kaku, and Lucci's Tekkai>>>Blueno's.
Tekkai = Iron body, Iron < Steel << Tempered steel.
And I'm guessing some people here don't know that tanking steel busters =/= busting steel. And that Alabasta's buildings are not made of steel... Oh well for the lulz :
Also as I previously showed Kimimaru's bones can bust Gaara's defense which could tank needles able to penetrate even steel :
Conclusion : Luffy punches Kimimaro, he gets impaled.

Dont even compare kimis bones to some petty attack by Lucci. His bones are tough.
Real fact: Steel has a realistic tensile strength of around 300 Mega-pascals (MPa), up to more than 900 MPa, depending on the type of alloy.
Bone on the other hand, has a tensile strength of only around 100-120 Mpa at most.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_te...
Therefore Steel has three to nine times the strength of bone
So what you Luffy supporters are saying is:
Luffys Punch >>> Gaaras Sand Tsunami+Giant Sand Burial.. That didn't take down Kimimaro?.. So many things wrong here.
Are you arguing for a side in your thread?

tensile strength lmao. We are not having a tug of war with these materials. xD Nor are we subjecting them to heat or otherwise compressive force. My post was done versus the attack "Rankyaku" which does not apply any of the force in mention. The subject of the matter would be the "WEIGHT" of the said material.
@mr_ingenuity: No all im doing is asking questions and trying to say this match isn't one sided like people are making it seem.
So what you Luffy supporters are saying is:

Luffy tanked an island spilting punch is which far bigger than the sand burial.
No he didn't what he tanked was a wall breaking punch, and he was inside of a cage to make it worse :
It took Moria both of his hands and possible his full force to bust the island.
Moria never hit Luffy with that same attack, he only used one hand then one leg. And in case you forgot the attacks he was using barely had wall breaking strength :
Luffy was inside of his bat cage and the cage wasn't completely flattened, also the hits the cage received were barely wall breaking level (look at the wall behind him):
And that's irrelevant anyway, Luffy can't split the island (even if we assume he tanked that punch).
No all im doing is asking questions and trying to say this match isn't one sided like people are making it seem.
Didn't read as that. Seems as if you're pointing out flaws "So many things wrong here."
@mr_ingenuity: I didn't pick a side but when someone makes comments like Luffy OS and Stomps without giving reasons to support that claim I come in (I honestly hate that)
@nyas: Btw luffy pretty much negates blunt force blows so the entirety of the "tanked island buster" complexes are highly irrelevent, even if it was the damn truth.
- Desert Graveyard is irrelevent comparison to what Luffy can tank. Its highly improper to say "Luffy has tanked more force than a Desert Graveyard" when it is Kimmi the logic applied to, and has no relation whatsoever with Luffy, especially if all Luffy did was tank an attack thats assumably stronger than what Kimmi had tanked? And how did that relate to Luffy? o=o Some points are just too idiotic.
@dbvse7: Well structure your OP.
Q: Who takes the win?
A: Luffy stomps.
Nothing in that required details.

Yeah I just wanted to correct that supposed "feat", and I guess they just Misunderstood DBVSE7 since what he meant was : "Can Luffy's punches inflect more damage than Gaara's requiem ?" since Kimimaru tanked that without a problem.
