I'm inclined to say Silver Samurai would win.

@jashro44: Doesn't he have the ability to cut through anything except adamantium? Doesn't he supercharge his sword with kinetic energy or something? Not to mention he's a really good swordsman. With no prep, how would Reed win?

There is another scan floating around of wolverine failing to cut reed. Harda won't do much better.

Are you aware Silver Samurai is not just using some standard katana? He focuses tachyon particles through it, basically like a beam weapon. He can and has also discharged this energy in other ways. While Reed can deflect most standard blades he doesn't deflect energy ones that I am aware of. He will make a difficult target but SS is one of the most formidable close combat specialists in the Marvel universe. Reed's standard "go-to" attack is to wrap around his opponent. this is potentially a fatal move as SS can charge his armor just like his blade.

All the tachyon field does is make hardas blade really sharp. It doesn't burn or anything like that to my knowledge. His blade should be no more effective than wolverines claws unless I'm missing something.

I think you are assuming Reed is invulnerable here. He can be cut by blades though he is mildly resilient. SS can cut anything but adamantium. It's not the sword that is cutting either, it's the tachyon field.

@dhumraketu: I'm not assuming anything. Wolverine couldn't cut reed. He can stretch to accommodate for silver samurais stabs. Scans have already been posted.... And again thats not the only time reed tanked wolverine claws.

He literally could not be damaged by the sharpest and most durable metal in the Marvel Universe, Jashro isn't assuming anything.

Okay I can see where the disconnect here is. The tachyon field cannot cut adamantium because adamantium is specifically immune to alterations of it's molecular stability. Tachyon fields like SS's do damage (theoretically) through destabilizing the matter which they come into contact with. Reed is not immune to any sort of matter destabilization as far as I know so he will get sliced up.

Yeah I definitely should have explained it better from the get go. He's one of those characters we all know, but he's not exactly iterated on like Reed. Interestingly I know Reed has been cut by blades before and was unaware Wolverine hadn't been able to cut him. After doing some research I'm guessing I am either remembering wrong or it was some sort of oddity.

EDIT: I would add that if Reed put half his brain power into learning to fight better then he stands a good chance. His offensive potential is very untapped, but then I suppose that has always been a point of his character.

As he's being stabbed he stretches his body and expands it. He basically moves with the stab to the point where the blade doesn't penetrate him.

Yup, and thank you. I actually have perused the site many times before but I have been working from home all week so I get to sneak in and have some fun. You would think preparing litigation would make me not want to argue more but there is a certain fun to doing it when it isn't involving people ruining the lives of others, well not real people at least.
