I think it's a draw. Midnighter will know just about every move Spidey will make, but Spidey's sense/agility will help him dodge Midnighters attacks.

Midnighter is better than Batman. Midnighter has super-speed, strength, and the ability to see the outcome of the battle before it happens, among other things like a healing factor. I think that the two are pretty much evenly matched, although I don't know just how high Midnighters strength, speed, and reactions are.

yeah i think Midnighter would win. if he could see the outcome of every battle then he should be able to compensate for spiderman's spider sense.

The real question is: will Pete hold back? Because if he does, he's finished.

I still reference the things we have seen Midnighter do and the official published figures on the Authority (an RPG game) to know that Spiderman is nowdays far stronger and faster than Midnighter (Midnighter 1 - 2 tonnes, Spiderman 20 tonnes. Midnighter several times faster than a human, Spiderman 18 times).

The simulator is the difficult part because it permits a long term battle plan that is always updating as the fight progresses. The Spider sense typically only responds to the next action in most circumstances - so no longer term planning. This would give Midnighter a tactical advantage for sure. However, Midnighter would need to avoid Spideys blows and also land his own. The Spider sense would help here as it could limit Midnighters effectiveness.

The spider sense would alert Spiderman not to jump one way as Midnighters battle plan has him waiting to smack Spiderman in the chops. So Spiderman leaps the other way.

In this way the spider sense acts like for short duration 'telepathy' - it 'sees' the problem. So on a second by second basis, Spiderman could counteract the Midnighters battle plans. In this, a simulator would struggle to overcome a person who does not do what has been planned.

Spiderman has in the past be hit by being put in an encounter where danger was coming from more than one direction and he had indecision about where to leap to as his spider sense is giving off mixed messages.

I do think that Midnighter could get Spiderman in to a situation like this but this would take some time to arrange.

All in all, I would still favour Spiderman for the win due to the extent of his strength and agility - and that he is fairly resourceful himself.

I can't call this. Don't know who wins. I don't know a thing about Midnighter anyway. I haven't read a Wildstorm comic since 3rd grade.

if anything i'm tempted to give it to Midnighter... only because he'd definitely go directly for 'the kill', while Spiderman would be reluctant to go directly for a killing blow

there's always a solution to any fight...

if it means retreating and coming back with a different weapon then that is what the implants will tell him to do.

as for talking him into suicide, Midnighter has used that method before to "break someone" instead of fighting them... it took one conversation to talk a seasoned metahuman marine to leave the battle field and settle down with his lover.

I have to agree with the Creator on this one. Peter should come out on top, his Spider-sense will come into play and though the battle won't be a short one, it will end in Mr. Parker coming out on top.
