To be honest, for some reason I can see Midnighter wrapping up Mr. Fantastic's body into a Giant Knot and then kicking his head off his shoulders.
Midnighter wins, blows up a good many cars, gas lines, one big fireball.
Reed has tons of physical defense, but not ht great against fire.

I'd like someone to explain how Midnighter wins.
He opens a Door in the middle of Reed's stretched out body.
The very first thing in this thread is a stipulation that there are no doors allowed.
@buckshot: What's with the door thing?
I find it amusing that after all these years you still have the optimism to believe the people that come here have reading comprehension skills or the effort to read it in the first place
Due to the location im tending to favour Midnighter, just too many traps for Mr F to fall faul of imo.
Had the setting been more baron then Mr F stands a very good chance.
Midnighter to win via blowing up a gas station with Mr F not too far.
Wow, I see either Midnighter fanboyism, plain confusion, BS, or someone in here is cracking a mean joke ....... Lucas has no way to beat Mr Fantastic in the STREETS of NYC....oh yeah, gas station in the middle of the street pffft of course that's how Midnighter wins ..... really? Oh no, Midnighter is just going to salsa around Reed and he'll tie himself into a knot like this is Tom and Jerry .... come on yo..... yall gotta be kidding me ............ kick Mr Fantastic's head off? Word? unless Lucas has the pocket nuke he's getting stomped.

Lucas isn't his name, but I'm gonna slide by that.... The pocket nuke is the only reliable method I see for him to win, but given that he has no doors to escape the blast himself, it wouldn't do him much good. Also, Midnighter's not likely to nuke New York for a simple fight.
@buckshot: What's with the door thing?
Doors are a system for teleportation that any member of the Authority can access due to technology implanted in them that connects them to their extradimensional spaceship.
@buckshot: I read when Martian Manhunter was fighting Midnighter he called him Lucas...

I just looked up his bio....Lucas Trent ........ Midnighter (Character) ....
Could Midnighter choke Reed out with a boot down the throat?
Reed could just widen his throat.

Lucas is current Midnighter's name. It was just an alias the old Midnighter used for a while.
@buckshot: I read when Martian Manhunter was fighting Midnighter he called him Lucas...
In the New 52 they were saying he was Lucas, but that's not the original version of the character (which is being used in this thread). And the name Lucas Trent comes from a story back in the Wildstorm Universe where Midnighter's history was "discovered" and they found out that was his name. But that was a fabrication and he was never Lucas Trent. Here are the relevant pages. If you want to skip to where it's stated explicitly, it's the last one.
@citizenbane: even so, he can't say it isn't his name if it was what he was referred to as occasionally...so, what is Wildstorm Midnighter's real name.
Buckshot NOT debating for Midnighter?
I don't see how this is news....

Is Matches Malone Batman's real name?
He didn't have one. Bendix erased his identity before turning him into a weapon, or created him from scratch and didn't give him an identity. Depends on which origin you pick.
Buckshot is NOT debating for Midnighter?
Sub par grammar aside
The best debaters are able to put aside personal preference in favor of logic. Being the champ, I thought you would know that............................

I knew you'd bring that up.....Batman chose the name (taken from the real matches who died) to go undercover as you know. "Lucas" didn't change his name by choice, his memories are gone, that name is all he has to identify himself besides his Stormwatch name. In any case, he has a new name, and should/could be referred to his new name like it's his real name since that's all he's got besides midnighter, and when I don't want to call him midnighter, his new name should suffice as his "real" name
@laflux: That depends who you regard as one of the best >:P.
Yeah, the two users who are directly above my original post on this thread.

The difference is irrelevant. They're both still aliases and not the identity that either character really identifies themselves with. I don't know if you're still thinking of the new 52, but Midnighter was a member of the old Stormwatch for all of one mission, and he didn't have a name then either. For that matter, Midnighter's creator himself offered a few other fictional names for him to "identify himself" with ---- Richard McCall, Edward Jackman et al.
You'll notice he doesn't identify himself with any of those names because they're not his names. He's not like Wolverine who's grown into the Logan identity even though it's not the name he was born with.
@laflux: I don't see Morpheus anywhere. Lololol.
Concession due to the fact that Morpheus was awesome.

To make sure you're not conflating the two Midnighters, lemme break it up. Calling the original Midnighter (the one this thread is about), Lucas Trent makes no sense because it's not who he is. It's who he thought he was for a little while and then realized he wasn't. It's not his real name and it's barely even an alias. It's suggested that he went on being Lucas for a little while longer, just to try out being normal, but outside of that arc, it's not used for anything. It's a name he went by, but has no real ties to who he is. He doesn't call himself Lucas and neither does anyone else he regularly interacts with. Wildstorm Midnighter has no real name that he is aware of.
Calling the New 52 Midnighter Lucas makes sense because that seems to be what they're using as his real identity for whatever reason. Well, it did make sense until everything got rebooted. I don't remember if they gave him a name yet in his new incarnation.
They did, same name.
Is Reed his real name or do i have to call him Mr. F. ? Well anyway i think Midnighter takes this. Both have a supercomputer in their head but Fantastic was hurt by blunt trauma before (even though he has high resistance) and suffocating him is also still an option. Reed does have the abilities to defeat Midnighter in a random encounter but not in a majority IMO.
Buckshot NOT debating for Midnighter?
People are taking your comment surprisingly seriously here. No idea why.
@stompa: reed can hurt midnighter alot easier than midnighter can hurt him.

This is slightly depressing...
@comic_book_fan: True but Reed will have a much harder time even laying a hand on Midnighter and in character Mr. F. would try to incapacitate or K.O. Midnighter without injuring him.....i somehow don´t see think Midnighter will be as nice to him.....
reed can hit hard enough to hurt namor and once knocked the thing namor and the humantorch around.
why would reed have a hard time hitting him midnighter is fast but not that fast and reed could create a big gusts of winds to send midnighter flying.
@comic_book_fan: Midnighter was fast enough to hit speedsters and managed to K.O. Winter with a nerve strike.....he is insanely agile and combined with his battle computer it´s PIS incarnate...i don´t see how hitting hard enough to hurt Namor helps if you don´t manage to hit besides the fact that Midnighter himself has insane durability to blunt force.
