He killed him. Skallox died the minute Midnighter chopped off the arm with the ring on it. That's the way it is with Red Lanterns, their bodies cannot function without their rings. Midnighter simply did not know about that, Apollo stopped him from killing someone who was already dead.
I mean, Skallox was most obviously dead on the next page.......

@CitizenBane said: Touche. I forgot it was his ring hand that got lobbed off. Though i wonder what that knife/blade was made of, cause the durability levels of the red lanterns have been weird to me, they just seem off.

Why didn't he know? I thought it was in his ability to know.
@royale_with_cheese: His abilities have not yet been elaborated upon. So far he has the ability to detect an opponent's weaknesses, according to his fight with Grifter. Anything else is up in the air.
@CitizenBane: Well that settles it, I'm never going to read Stormwatch. F*ck it! First his costume, now his abilities. I've had enough.

They had him alive in some machine on the ship afterwards though if I remember correctly.

@codin18: Why on gods good earth would you do this to Wesker?I just feel i should let you now the Wesker Corps will be coming for you
@Sherlock regardless of whether midnighter wins, which he probably will,i just thought this would be an interesting fight to see
:
And youd rather see the book get cancelled and the characters disappear off in to limbo never to be heard of again?@CitizenBane: Well that settles it, I'm never going to read Stormwatch. F*ck it! First his costume, now his abilities. I've had enough.
