What did this force-field ever stop that would put it on a level where it could stop Mjolnir? Thor's strikes can shatter planets. He once stuck the armor of a Celestial hard enough to piece and the shock-wave generated by the impact leveled entire mountain ranges and shook cities.
Planets, mountains and most cities are larger than the island Mewtwo trashed in the movie. And hurricanes? Against Thor? A storm, no matter how large, will not save Mewtwo. Thor is the storm.

Thanos easily beat him with an eye blast while he was down.
Godblasts? Mewtwo can teleport, Godblast is only applicable if Thor can actually hit Mewtwo
