The only way X-23 could win is by cutting Mercury up into several pieces and keep them all from forming back together..... don't know how that would work though...

Ah yes but when X-23 saved Mercury by cutting off her hand, why couldn't she just reattach it? If that is the case then if X-23 cut off Mercury's head, wouldn't Mercury die?

plus who more brutal x or mercury. i don't even think mercury  couldn't even think straight when she see x-23 trying to kill her.
you said in the danger room, where it run by electrilty which have proven to be one of mercury weakness. so what stopping x from cutting the wall pull out some wire and zap the living hell out her.

There's a lot of people here refrencing the fact that x-23 killed a predator made from the same alloy as mercury's skin. The predator is flesh and meat beneath the skin it isn't entirely compromised of liquid metal so it's interior is far more easily dameaged. Like when Wolverine jumped into the mouth of one of the predators and tore him apart from inside, that would not work on mercury.
