I've seen Meliodas dodge lightning but I don't think she could react to Luffy's attacks. Luffy could take this if he doesnt give Meliodas time for full counter

@nelomaxwell I read a few things, i don't think he is able to take Luffy down, so Luffy takes it.

Seems interesting, but he seems to be all about physical strength, can you show some scans of his other abilities?

I don't read One Piece, but from what I can tell from the snippets and videos I seen, I would say that Luffy is faster. Current Meliodas doesn't have a weapon, so I don't see him being able to adequately defend himself. Also, I don't think full counter would work on Luffy's attack because they are all physical in nature (at least I think they are).

All in all, Luffy would win. Meliodas has extreme damage soak, but doesn't have the feats to back him up, unlike Luffy who has 600+ chapters of feats.

@nelomaxwell: Somehow I didn't get a noti for the tag :O IMO, I'd vote for Luffy due to Haki and what I see as a speed edge from Gear Second.

He's the MC of Nanatsu no Taiza. He's got above peak speed and Reaction time, and massive super strength.

His other abilities, Full Counter and Monster Form arm mostly useless. Full counter reflects power attacks, and his demon form is unstable and we don't know how he could trigger it quite yet.

@dratini1331: He triggered it during the fight with Ban. He triggered it in the flashback when Ban tried to force the sword from him, and he triggered it to get out from the crystal.

On topic: Honestly, Luffy has a chance here, but if he uses Gear second or third, Meliodas can use full counter to reflect it back on him. Because those gears are energy based, yes?

Other than that, luffy is pretty much invulnurable to physical hurt, but if Meliodas goes demon form, he beats the heck out of luffy.

Meliodas feats, hmm, he can react to lightning. His strength feats, hmm.. easily split a decent sized hill in half with a twig.

@lowlaville: It only triggers in a few scenarios, one of which is implied to involve the broken sowrd, or him being near death.

It triggered twice because his sword was in danger of being taken, once to get out of the seal, and the other time, against Ban at Byzel, he was not near death, rather, he intentionally triggered it.

In any case, if Meliodas has some kind of weapon, Luffy is done for. His Gear 3 speed could possibly hold against or prove faster than Meliodas, but Demon form pretty much takes way that advantage as well, and Meliodas gains a kind of absolute defence as well as offence.

Kings haki is useless I think we can agree, but prediction haki as well as gear 2 gives him the nessary tools to keep up with if not out pace Mel adment haki will allow Luffy to tank some of the damage Mel can cause as well as make mel feel his blows

Luffy has striking feats that Meliodas hasn't matched. Also without an actual sword Meliodas lose the chance of matching damage output since punches aren't as effective against Luffy. Although Haki is a plausible counter to cutting.

On top of those advantages observation haki gives Luffy precog on what and what not to tank, sharpening Luffy's reflexes to be superior to Meliodas & gear 2nd allows Luffy to out pace Meliodas 'strikes.

Hmmm considering scaling and all of his feats, Meliodas probably wins. The problem here is the enhancements Luffy gets from haki

I'd give it to Meliodas I gyess. Not sure how fast Luffy actually is with Gear Second, but Meliodas is atleast the speed of sound (was stated when he fought Gilthunder, and he's evidently a lot stronger than him).

And with Lost Vayne, his cutting power is strong enough to get through Luffy's haki I'd say.

Comes down to speed I guess. Would be kind of like trying to fight an OP miniature Zoro that can regenerate. And he's evidently also a lot faster and stronger in his Demon Mode.

Melodias curbstomps.. Even 3 months ago he curbstomps, he does not need the weapon to curbstomp.

Ok I am a diehard one piece fan and i know practically everything about op.I love luffy and all his abilities but if meliodas has lostvayne his sacred treasure luffy isn't winning easily or maybe winning at all.you guys keep talking about meliodas and blunt force but are forgetting meliodas's best aspect. HE IS really A SWORDSMAN, and luffys weakness is sharp objects. Just saying

Melodias is at least as fast as Luffy, significantly stronger, and his full counter is overpowered.

Luffy is vunerable not weak to sharp objects.

Full counter cannot be used against luffy in anyway.

As for me. Meliodas could easily win this. The issue with this battle is haki.

To be honest i think that luffy takes the win here due to his speed and strength.

Since Luffy's Armament Haki has been displayed I would state this fight is still in his favor.

@mr_ingenuity: @nelomaxwell: Actually you have a point Nelo. I just realized. You cannot heal from demon flames. Not even Ban was capable of healing from this despite his immortality. A demon flame consumed sword should be enough to kill luffy.
