I thought this would be an interesting fight as Meggan is a very underestimated powerhouse.

Do you think Sersi would go for a telepathic attack initially @hyperlight? From reading some of the issues she appeared in, though she is a powerful telepath, she usually goes for a more physical assault first (transmutation, eye or hand beams, physical blows). This may give Meggan a chance to utilize her abilities against Sersi
@micahparadise: true... probably wont off the bat but she will see the fact that meggans poers will be all over the place and either transmute her or do a TP attack. meggan doesnt have a defense for either. sersi's also much harder to kill considering she is an earth eternals
Do you think that Meggan could be immune to Sersi's transmutation attack seeing as in her true form she was able to not be affected by the power reality altering powers of Jaimie Braddock? @hyperlight
But i do think you are right. Sersi possibly would eventually win this if she uses her telepathic abilities as Meggan has no defense against telepathic attacks because of her empathic abilities. Now without telepathy, i think it can go either way if Meggan is able to resist Sersi's transmutation abilities like she did Brain Braddocks reality altering abilities.
Meggan is an underestimated BEAST when it comes to raw power!
growing as big as galactus
Mimicing the abilities and size of juggernaut
connected and becoming one with all life on the planet and the ecosystem
just amazing! lol

damn...
@micahparadise: What happened in the juggernaut scan? did they fight?
Sersi turns her into a kitten with a snap of her fingers. Meggan never had a chance to do anything.

Meggan is an omnimorph that can resist being altered by reality warping, she can just turn back into whatever she wants, including Seri which would in turn give her Seris powers, as Meggan can gain the powers of those she shifts into. Seri can win via telepahty (maybe) but she hardly leads with that power.
@lordofallhumans: Sersi is a matter manipulator and an extremely powerful one. She turned a cat into a dragon with a twitch of her fingers. By accident. Her powers, along with Makkari's, were increased by the Golden Celestial Tiamut.
In earlier comics in an alternate reality she'd destroyed the world after being driven insane., and the Black Knight whom she'd melded minds with there had come to Marvel-616 to kill Sersi so it wouldn't happen there.
@reikai: So would you say Sersi is overall more powerful than Jamie Braddock? I just ask because of the scan above of Meggan resisting Jamie's manipulation attempts, and I always thought Jamie was a top notch reality/matter manipulator... : /

Meggan is an extremely powerful shapeshifter, she has control over her own atoms there is nothing to suggest she can't change back. I've only actually seen her be changed and need to be changed back when Alchemy changed her into gold, but that was before her powers were clearly defined and she was unsure of herself which reflects how effective her powers are, she has gotten over that hump. I'll mention again that she can turn into Sersi and have her powers if she wants to. She can also absorb and channel energy in her base form, she can manipulate not only the weather but the acutal environment by speaking to it, she once touched metal spikes with her mind and changed them into butterflies. If she were able to cut loose she has the power to locally alter reality as shown when she became the Goblin Princess and was overhwhelmed by darkness and was not holding back her powers, IIRC she was bringing movies charaters to life in order to hunt Kitty down.
That is not canon for the Sersi in this battle, and that feat of Meggan turning into Galactus size was based on her siphoning life force from the Earth and she would have destroyed it if she hadn't stopped IIRC. 616 Meggan is a potential planet buster and almost busted the planet.

Unless, of course, Sersi makes it so she can't change back. She can make the changes permanent. Not unlike how Thanos turned a Skrull permanently to stone. Or how Sersi turned a cosmically-powered Android Hulk to stone.

Which is all but completely and utterly pointless as using all that power would kill the planet, thus rendering Meggan completely powerless herself. On the other hand we have Sersi who altered her own structure, as well as other Avengers members to enable them to survive a galaxy-spanning Nega Bomb. The only drawback from that was she needed another Eternal to wake them back up from the deathlike state they were in.
Sersi's powers aren't dependent on the Earth. Her Immortality, however, is. Along with the other Earth Eternals. So long as the Earth exists, they can continuously regenerate and be revived over and over again should it ever reach the point that somehow someone had managed to kill one of them. Sersi's power was so great she turned herself into Makkari and changed places with him in the Falcrum to enable Makkari to calm Tiamut and prevent the galaxy from being reset to several billion years ago.

Skrulls don't have the ability to become inorganic substances so changing one to stone would do so through and through, Meggan has shown be able to take on the properties or water and air and be fine. Did this Hulk drone possesse the ability to change form? If not I don't see how that is relevant as any change a matter manipulator makes is technically permanent until they or something else that can manipulate matter undoes it and IIRC correctly that is one of the weaknesses of her transformations, they can be undone by one with similar power, Meggan can manipulate matter to the point of changing inanimate objects into living beings.
I have no idea what point you are tyring to make, I only mentioned what she was doing to the Earth because you brought up how an alternate version of Sersi destroyed the planet, the point is 616 Meggan can destroy the planet too. Her powers are not dependent on the Earth, she can draw power from nearly any source, including the Beyond. So if Meggan did decide to drain and destroy the Earth, and Sersi is dependent on the Earth to be immortal, Meggan could potentially kill her and still have power to spare as I said her powers are innate and she can use other sources to enhance them, she is not dependent on the Earth.
@lordofallhumans: Couple things. Skrulls have full control over their structures, so they can appear as anything, or anyone. What Thanos did was unprecedented. Also, the ability to change form does not give you auto-resistance to being turned into something else. This Hulk was powered by Cosmic Energy, and we all know how dangerous and potent that stuff is.
Also, no. Killing the Earth doesn't mean Sersi will die from it not being there. It just means she can't auto-revive herself if something does manage to kill her. Unlike Meggan, Sersi doesn't draw from an external source that she has to tap to use. An Eternals power is internal, cosmic energy granted to them by the Celestials. Most train and use theirs towards specific areas of their interest. Makkari's was speed, Sersi's was matter and energy.
Without an external source to draw on, Meggan isn't all that great. Anything she has done, everyone else has already done.Making herself big doesn't really change anything either. Even if Meggan could mimic Sersi's powers, it doesn't make her better at using them. Sersi has a million years of experience under her belt. And the last I saw her in the Eternals series, she was having drinks with drinks cosmic abstracts in the Falcrum.
Sersi could destroy the world. However, that defeats the purpose as the Eternals are there to guard it. They don't care about all the fighting and wars and other crap that goes on, so long as the planet survives. Hell Zuras went right in Tony Stark's face when told to pick a side during the whole Super Hero Registration Act and Civil War, and Zuras says; "If you saw two kids fighting over a garbage pile, would you pick a side?" Basically just told him everything they were fighting over was worthless crap and that the Eternals weren't getting involved.

Couple more things, I have never seen a Skrull take on the form of an inorganc substance, which would indicate their shapshitfting abilities are limited and mostly cosmetic, which means if you turn one to stone it can't change back because the process would have also been internal. Meggan can assume inorganic forms which would suggest her consciousness would still be active allowing her to revert to her natural form. Shapeshifting does not mean auto protection but if you have control over all your atoms and face an opponent that can manipulate matter on such small scales it's not crazy to believe that as long as there is some part of your consciousness still active you can still control your atoms and undo any transformation you have undergone. It doesn't matter how dangerous and potent cosmic energy is if you don't have the power to use it to alter your form then you being changed into something and not being able to change back makes sense. Firelord has the power cosmic but his use of it is limited compared to what Silver Sufer can do.
I didn't say killing the Earth would kill her, you mentioned her immortality and ability to revive is tied to the Earth, if the Earth is destroyed she can now be killed, and not come back.
Meggans powers are innate and a facet of her empathic ability to connect to the world around her, she can tap external power sources to increase her powers, but she is not dependent on external power. Eternals are dependent on an external power source, they metabolize cosmic energy to perform their feats.
Point it is being assumed that Sersi will win via transmutation, but the amount of control Meggan has over her own atoms and even the atoms of the world around her can surely give her a chance. If she can resist reality manipulation that happens at the quantum level, it doesn't seem too far fetched to believe she can resist simple molecule and atomic manipulation (simple compared to quantum level reality warping).
Great points on both sides @reikai and @lordofallhumans!! Gives us alot to think about!!! However, i think rekai is right about Meggans powers not being based just on tapping energy fromthe earth. She grew in size as I think she was absorbing interdimensional energy that was destroying the universe when the scarlet witch recreated reality im house of M. SHe was also able to survive in that reality altering void. Meggan is a real powerhouse and not to be underestimated. Great discussion by the way!!!
After a long debate with myself over each women's abilities, feats, intelligence, and strategies, Meggan will ultimately defeat Sersi after a long, hard, bloodied battle with Meggan finishing her off after mimicking the Beyonder's abilities like she once did years ago. Her powers output far outstretches that of Sersi or other mutants we'ver ever seen. I blieve her powers are similar to Magik's soul sword, Scarlet Witch's probability manipulation, and Thanos Infinity Gauntlet that is known to us avid comic readers and fans as stupid plot-deviced champions! Meggan's abilities worked like a plot-device. The bigger and badder foes she fight, the more powerful she becomes emotionally charged and either stalemate or win by default.
@ivan_jimenez86: Meggan gets tp’d by sersi planetary tp. Not only that Sersi powers have worked on a universal level before. Mimicking someone’s abilities doesn’t equal the same strength and range.
Sersi turns her into a kitten with a snap of her fingers. Meggan never had a chance to do anything.
After looking at her feats, I actually think Meggan can resist/revert the matter manipulation Sersi does on her, however once sersi turns to tp, Meggan goes down
It’s silly to argue the shapeshifting/transmutation crap. Even if she did she’d change back you’re just arguing whether or not she could resist it. Comes down to extra powers tp, etc and physicals. Now Sersi has the natural edge in both tp and physiology. Assuming she goes for that off the bat she wins. Assuming she’s as “smart “ as the previous arguments here she gives her the opportunity to change into something/someone more formidable. Sersi 6-7/10
