@leo-343: what- i read all the books and he was never even good at anything. he also doesnt have any good durability
@spider-manwins: If you are serious about what you said you have not read the books.
@unrelenting: i kinda skimmed through the last one
it was too boring and was a blatant harry potter rip off
@leo-343: so giants = thor durability? i was also assuming this was movie percy jackson
What Leo said
wrong.
@hulkage: who? and you bter not sy it ws meh, or i kik ur ass u fgit
@hulkage: don t quote me

What Leo said
wrong.
What's wrong?
who
@spider-manwins: Percy Fought the God of war in a 1v1, Percy also has beaten Giants and Titians including the strongest Titan, He also went to hell and back wile fight Multiple titan level opponents. I highly dought you read these books.
@unrelenting: i highly doubt that you highly doubt that i read these books, because i have
but all in all, the gods and all never struck me as too powerful. its like the wizards in HP, theyre supposedly stronger than humans, but i always thought that the military would stomp the wizards
also its been a while since i read them, i dont have an elephants brain you racists
@spider-manwins: They call Poseidon the Earth Shaker in the book sounds strong to me, and since he has no fighting feats in the book claims are all we have to go off of.
@unrelenting: well groudon is, "The Contiental Beast", but he loses to grass.knot.every.fricking.time
@spider-manwins: And Batman is human but he can beat Superman?
@unrelenting: but he hasnt, and never WILL
@hulkage: it doesnt work that way
IIRC the Gods get all mythological feats. That means they are mountain tossers easily
What he said^ Percy beat Ares and multiple Giants/Titans he beats MCU thor.
@hulkage: mythology as in real life, or the mythoogy that is directly stated to be true in the books?
also i see you didnt get me in twuble
@spider-manwins: Whether or not the gods in the books powers are as strong as they are in real mythology Percy will still be able to beat Thor
The gods in the Riordanverse aren't weak.

Zeus has shattered mountains with his lighting before:
"...and the crater was cracking open. The lightning bolt had split the mountain itself."
-Lost Hero p. 467
Zeus also slapped the Argo 2 hard enough to send it halfway across the world at reentry speeds iirc. Near the end of Blood of Olympus
@jacthripper: Yes he does, he has tanked Jason's lightning and resisted Thalia's shock attack.
Which has no feats, and wasn't used with the intent to kill
@jacthripper: Lightning is lightning dude...
Not really, especially when in one case it doesn't leave a scratch and in the other can go through bodies. Jason has never actually killed anyone with lightning, Thor has. The difference in power is there. Plus, Thor can throw Mijiolnir a couple times and give Percy a concussion, or even kill him if the brain seperates from the tissue in the interior of the skull.
Yeah, Jason's lightning is so featless:
He thrust his sword in the sky and thunder shook the valley. Lightning blasted a crater where the voice had been.
-House of Hades p. 288
--
Jason raised his javelin, and the ceiling exploded. A lightning bolt ripped through the roof like it was an eggshell, connected with the tip of his spear, and sent out arcs of energy that blasted the sofa to shreds. Chunks of ceiling plaster crashed down.
-Lost Hero p. 360
So, here’s Atlas describing the sky:
Atlas laughed. “How little you understand, young one. This is the point where the sky and the earth first met, where Ouranos and Gaia first brought forth their mighty children, the Titans. The sky still yearns to embrace the earth. Someone must hold it at bay, or else it would crush down upon this place, instantly flattening the mountain and everything within a hundred leagues. Once you have taken the burden, there is no escape.” Atlas smiled. “Unless someone else takes it from you.”
—
A hundred leagues is equal to 300 miles, and the sky falling would’ve crushed the mountain.
—
Percy not only held it for a while, he survived that amount of force pushing down on him and being almost crushed:
--
“I didn’t wait for [Artemis’] answer. I took out Riptide and slashed through her chains. Then I stepped next to her and braced myself on one knee-holding up my hands-and touched the cold, heavy clouds. For a moment, Artemis and I bore the weight together. It was the heaviest thing I’d ever felt, as if I were being crushed under a thousand trucks. I wanted to black out from the pain, but I breathed deeply. I can do this.
Then Artemis slipped out from under the burden, and I held it alone.
Afterward, I tried many times to explain what it felt like. I couldn’t.
Every muscle in my body turned to fire. My bones felt like they were melting. I wanted to scream, but I didn’t have the strength to open my mouth. I began to sink, lower and lower to the ground, the sky’s weight crushing me.”
--
He also tanked blows from Atlas, who also held the sky:
--
“I swung my sword, and Atlas knocked me aside with the shaft of his javelin. I flew through the air and slammed into a brick wall..I tried to dodge, but the javelin hit me caught me in the chest and sent me flying like a rag doll. I slammed into the ground, my head spinning.”

Thor will have to work to hurt Percy.

Jason's lightning is not featless.
An arrow whistled toward Jason's face. He blew it aside with a gust of wind, then cut through a line of sword-wielding ghouls and noticed a dozen suitors regrouping by the fountain to charge Annabeth. He lifted his javelin to the sky. A bolt of lightning ricocheted off the point and blasted the ghosts to ions, leaving a smoking crater where the earthen fountain had been.
Blood of Olympus pg 37
It incinerates lesser foes.
Just then, thunder boomed overhead. Lightning flashed, and the bars on the nearest window burst into sizzling, melted stubs of iron.
Jason flew in like Peter Pan, electricity sparking around him and his gold sword steaming.
House of Hades pg 91
And it melts metal.
Jason was fully bloodlusted when he struck Percy.
Percy can deflect bullets and entire vollies of arrows with little trouble. How fast is MCU Thor's hammer? Why couldn't Percy dodge?

Never mind then...
I don't see how this justifies Percy effortlessly tanking Thor's thunder curse or not, that lightning went through a window, Thor's lightning went through a building sized monster.
@jacthripper: It didn't go through a window, it went through a mansion.
I didn't say it would be effortlessly, just that he'd survive. And correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Thor's lightning take some kind of charging? Why couldn't Percy, ya know, just stab him in the face? He's a lot faster from what I know.
@jacthripper: I posted the quote of Percy resisting the force required to flatten a mountain.
--
He could tank the bolts.

Edit: Also worth noting that this was base Percy during the Mountain feat, no Styx was involved.
