Apparently Thor city-busted in AoU and got a plethora of other awesome feats. Not sure, have to see the movie myself (freakin late american screening times).

That just goes to show, the power of the almighty pen, and how things can change overnight. Fictional battles get useless once you realize a writer can have his character do whatever he wants whenever he deems it, and nothing you say can stop them. Next movie Superman could be seen busting a planet if the one-upmanship game continues. God knows what Marvel will have Thor do in response lol.

I know what Thor is capable of. Superman is not weak, he's not going to get one-shotted by Thor, and the reverse situation is also not happening. This is still very debatable.

@phantom16: Did he have to charge up or was it just a normal swing?

The attack was charged up in less than 3 seconds, but he had to wait for Iron Man to give the order to strike.

I doubt Thor would destroy an entire city full of people just to knock out his opponent. The fact that Thor is capable of outputting that kind of damage kind of proves the theory of him holding back in most of his previous fights. It's just insane.

Thor vs Superman is still debatable, and it can still go either way.

The stipulations for this fight suggests that Thor would use that strike considering the location and his state of mind.

I have yet to see the movie so I reserve Deduction but saying MOS has no durability is laughable. Superman was weakened by the WE, yet consistently tanked its gravity blast head on. A healthy MOS is a different story.
