Agree with everything else apart from Captain America vs Batman, its an endless debate but i am siding with Captain America here.

I ALMOST completely agree with this.

I can see Bat/Cap going either way depending on how it plays out, also Thor/Supes (if Thor is out of character and uses Mjinlor which in character he wont until it's to late), Sufer can take Flash if he uses time manip (which he rarely does ). Beast Boy has a chance against Thing but only if he employs the PEAK abilities shown in Wolfamn era (i.e changing to shapes of alien life forms as well). I also see GR taking it just over Lobo due to penance stare (Lobo has caused a LOT of pain)

If your going to quote a handful of low ball instances that are completely out of the norm and obvious PIS that we also have to take Lobo's low feats when poorly written. I always average power out over the character type in the battle. This is effectively blood lusted I don't see an issue with the penance stare in that case.

Loosing to Vril Dox in physical combat, Being held off by Stealth (both physically street levelers). Both were in the same issue of L.E.G.I.O.N and were only two of many in that series. They like the ones you mentioned for GR are PIS, and only done to make the others in the series more imposing. Others in that series was getting his but kicked by Garrin Beck when he had the emerald Eye, loosing to the leader of the pirate group that Vril then had to beat. If you'd like I can go on for quite a while (there's also Omega men, New god's)

@beatboks1: Dox was not only seriously poweramped, but he only won because Cosmic Rock Zombie went off the air. I don't recall Stealth ever being a threat to Lobo. The Emerald Eye is hardly something to be embarrassed to lose against. Dagon-Ra could transmute at the speed of thought, so I don't get how that's a low showing.

Yeah right, because the level to which Dox was amped (which was be physically below what GR is normally IIRC it stated he was 100 times normal which wouldn't even make him a 50 tonner) should allow him to defeat a being who can take blows from Kryptonians while drunk and laugh it off. I never said that she was a threat I said she held him off. AS I reacll it for 7 pages of story. She's a F@#$ing street level character with physical stat's at best peak human. I guy who can suprise Superman with his speed and can't even lay a glove on s street level maybe peak human for 7 pages isn't a low showing, of course not.

The Emerald Eye under the control of Emerald Empress (who has a lot more experience in it's use than Bek) has been easily beaten by beings that Lobo would slaughter. No that's not a low showing at all. Bek had no where near enough experience to use the eye to full capability, and Lobo was able to possess the eye later.

Yet Lobo has tanked energy and matter manipulators of much greater power.

Please, the dfanboy is definitely showing if you can't see these as low showings or PIS. How about loosing to Tigorr. I suppose you going to have an excuse for that too. It's all PIS just like your examples for GR. I wont count them nor will I low ball GR the same.

Bone up on LEGION. I am a LEGION fanboy (proudly admitted).

1. The machine used to clone Dox was from the design of the one his father used. Clearly stated to be able to enhance a clone to 100 times the original's capability. The fact that Dox said he was enhanced to be Lobo equal in title was proven wrong a dozen or more times in the following pages. he bleed, was badly injured. his endurance was shown to be very limited (ironically all also displayed by Lobo who has taken teh best blows of Superman, Captain Marvel, Captain Comet, and Valor with no effect). he struggles with feats that would have been easy for beings at that level. Superman has struggled to "equal" Lobo and nothing exhibited by Vrill in that issue lends any credence to his being on that type of level. If i remember correctly he further contradicted the scan you gave a few pages later. In the scan you've loaded he thought he's been awake for a week altering the settings, in later pages he wondered why no one woke him earlier. Pulsar Stargrave with energy manip above the likes of Dagon-Ra couldn't even muss Lobo's hair and yet it's not low balling that Dagon-Ra could. You even offered a scan form another issue where he wasn't "amped and he held up OK.

I never said that stealth was human I said her STATS were peak human. The only characteristic she has above that (and only mildly) is her healing factor. Her strength, speed and agility are no better than Captain America (if you know of a feat that shows other wise please post it). Yet she could dodge and tag a guy that Superman has been surprised by his speed?? She shouldn't have lasted a microsecond against Lobo if he was properly written and it wasn't PIS.

The Emerald Eye has been easily defeated by single Green Lantern's and yet Lobo who has defeated teams of Lantern is supposed to have trouble and it not be a low ball. Not to mention myriad Legion of Superheroes members that Lobo should wreck.

So you admit that the Lobo / Bibbo thing was a low ball PIS moment.

As I said I don't take any of these factors into account when thinking of Lobo in battle. I don't because there are 100's more showing him at his proper level. Just like I wont take four or five plot driven (completely nonsensical) low showings of GR when there are many 100's more that are higher. We've already seen an established story (reign in hell) where Lobo's sin's powered a region of hell. Therefore we know he has something for the penance stare to use.

In the first few issues of LEGION Stealth struggles against automated defenses on Colu, have trouble with a handful of hired thug's on Cairn (Lobo at the same time was decimating hundreds of said goons). Dispite the fact that the first time she had a go at him (IIRC on Cairn after he threw Strata to the floor, issue 4 or 5) he dealt with her in 1 F#$% panel, we're expected to believe that in three other altercations she can occupy him for several pages and lay on blows that actually mean something. I didn't buy that bull then just like I'm not now. Just like I wont buy some PIS crap about GR penance stare when he's using it to determine if those he's using it on deserve punishment. The instances you've referred to so far have been when GR wanted to see their guilt for himself. If he's going to use it to make himself see the same bad crap that it delivers to the bad guy he's going to regret it. Since this is a blood lusted Blaze he wont care if the judgment or punishment he gives is deserved or not, or if it will affect an innocent who's linked. Ergo he wont use the stare that way and the Plot device fails.

Shouldn't the stare fail against Lobo for the same reason it failed against Deadpool?

I don't get what your angle is either. As the biggest Lobo fanboy on the planet, I admit he's out of his league against Pulsar Stargrave and the Emerald Eye of Ekron. Is your goal to make me agree that Ghost Rider wins because of Lobo being more than he is in the comics? Can't say I would use that type of tactic.

But I'll say Ghost Rider wins due to Penance Stare if what you say about him using it to see the guilt for himself is true.

@CitizenBane: It only failed against DP because the rider wanted to see if he was deserving of the punishment. If he hadn't (and therefore watched and experienced his guilt himself) GR would not have felt the same pain that DP did and revert back to Blaze. He's blood lusted here isn't he? why would he care?

Sorry if I implied you ignored anything, that wasn't the intention.

My point is and has been that your argument that a few failing (all plot derived) on why the stare is non grada here don't hold up over the body of GR's appearances. I do think that loosing to the Emerald Eye is a crap writing of Lobo because he's fared better against character who are vastly more powerful and the eye as I said has lost to other below him. As for Pulsar Stargrave Lobo actually beat him quite easily (twice IIRC), that was another point as far as I'm concerned that loosing to Dagon-ra was crap. In one of thsoe battles I distictly remember PS saying I have Stellar mass and lobo pulling him out of the sky. Each of the times that Stealth was able to hold a prolonged (if eventually loosing ) confrontation with him are also crap. he should be able to wipe her out in a heart beat and move on to the next character to frag, just like their first. All of these low showings (and they are low) are plot driven, let's face it if Lobo had torn Dagon-ra a new one (the way he should) than Vril would not have been able to give his troupes the confidence they needed to gain by taking him down.

I think the statement re the cloning unit (the one used to make Vril to start with) was in an issue of Superman (by Brainiac). I was pretty much over Superman by then (only bought it when Brainiac or some other villains or heroes I liked guest stared), so I don't know the issue of the top of my head. I also can't remember the Lobo Tigorr battle issue (can't even recall what title it was in because I was disgusted - only damn reason I even recall it).

Every character has low showing, many have high showings that are well out of the norm. As a rule when I enter a debate I try to balance the argument by using what is most common. For example I'm hugely argue against all the Black Adam Solo's garbage by anyone who's using WWIII as a guide because the other 98% of his showing while good are no where near that good. If a showing has a different context to the norm than it's valid for that context , but if (like the a fore mentioned BA ) that character has more showings in that same context that put thing in a different light than i take the rule (for example BA has many more blood lusted showing not at the levels of WWIII) Than I still take what i consider to be more consistent. That's why I disregard a single or a few low showings against a majority that speak to more consistent rule.

The very premise of the power at his disposal goes a very long ways.

And he has two very strong feats thus far - Kuurth and Red Hulk. And besides these, the gem of cyttorak has PLENTY of feats wielded by an ordinary Joe named Cain Marko. Petey has this power as Colossus. He was ready to tear Red Hulk a new one then stopped due to morals. He has been given no such restraints here. Enraged, in a state of metamorphosis and thereby embracing the complete power of the gem, there is plenty to suggest Power Girl cannot, and will not, stop him IMO.
