@giantmonstersrule30: Team DC has a bunch of characters in and around Post Crisis Supermans level( Adam, Diana, Henshaw). Post crisis Superman going at FTL speeds can only slice a " small moon" in half. Him and Diana have been part of teams that have moved the earth and the moon( not at the same time, and they had to suspend lunar gravity to move the moon and on each occasion struggled massively with the effort). At best they are at planet busting levels( when going all out)
Note by Planet Busting I don't mean as in Gladiator destroying a planet with 3 punches and no acceleration involved. By planet busting, I mean using all their ( considerable ) speed and landing millions of blows per second
From the picture, it seems we are using New 52 Darkseid who has busted planets. And Despero seems to be the virtue and vice version which soloed Captain Marvel, Superman , Diana and Pee Gee. Good
So we have a bunch of planet busters( at best, only one of them has an actual feat) of varying degrees. Thats some pretty decent firepower especially factoring in their superspeed
However.
Thanos in his earliest appearances, waay back in the 70s busted a planet as a side effect of hitting Drax. That alone puts him above the strongest here in N52 Darkseid who actually hit the planet with his beams to bust it. And to say Thanos has received upgrades since , is to put it mildly
The Silver Surfer is probably the best way to point out just how powerful Thanos is. Surfer has multi planet busting as a side effect feats( which didn't even damage the shine on his paint job despite him, yknow being at the centre of the whole thing). He creates black holes with the amount of power he dishes out. He no sell- fights inside Black holes off his board . He travels fast enough to travel through time mid fight/he has some epic planetary level transmutation feats/ has created life/ flies through the hearts of suns like nothing
This dude unloads on Thanos with all he has. Thanos asks" are you done?"
Then later he actually goes on a blitz , using all his speed AND blasting Thanos in the face. Thanos beats him to death wth 7 shots. SEVEN
I wouldn't even go into how Thanos treats the likes of Thor and Hulk( mashing Hulks head with thw thing, flat out ignoring him and having his servants deal with him, no selling Thors lightning, stopping Mjolnir dead, more or less stalemating Thor with the freakin power gem) and straight up note how he fares against Odin. Odin is a galaxy buster and while he wasnt nearly going into a galaxy busting mode, thanos repeatedly got up from multiple hits from Odin to the visible surprise of the dude, on a day he is one shotting Drax and Surfer with his blasts.
Which is not to say Thanos can survive a galaxy buster. He cant , not without feats. But it shows how ridiculously above Thanos is than even the strongest herald to the point of Odin actually having to make an effort ( Galactus had to actually exert himslef to take Thanos down too, this being a dude who teleports entire galaxies with a blink of his eye, but Thanos has excess to unknown amount of prep and tech there)
Finally Thanos' overall no of appearances are not nearly as many as people seem to think and the times he has actually done something feat wise in these appearance are even lesser. Within these limted appearances , showing the kind of feats he has ( no selling reality warping for example) , and his overall portrayal as someone who can absolutely no sell planetary level beings, showings where people like Masterson Thor (!) Taking him down are PIS to say the least. Or even say Thor bothering him in infinity. He shouldn't be. Like at all. Thor isn't even a planet buster
Finally Thanos' most impressive, quantifiable feat is when he came out of a singularity that collapsed everything within two light years of space UPON HIM , with minor scratches and bruises. Our solar system is less than a light year. Much less. Im talking about its freakin diameter here not even the radius.
What can any of these planetary level dudes even hope to achieve against him?
Sentry orVoid or whatever is a special case. Its not so much his durability as his extreme regeneration that makes him impossible to get hurt . The guy had his molecules scattered about and reformed from that. He was magically erased from the timeline and came back from that. His body was burned away to nothing on the sun and he came back from that. His wife blew a hole through his head and he came back from that
Basically the dude is unkillable, certainly not with the kind of force these guys can dish out. His durability isn't all that great unless you give him sentrys feats in which case he exceeds even Thanos in terms of durability/ strength
Team DC simply do not have the feats to
1. Hurt a guy who survived THAT singularity collapsing everything upon a fixed point
2. Hurt a dude who is not hurt by having his molecules scattered around.
Their best chance would have been to defend Despero long enough for his TP to kick in. But TPs not allowed. So they are screwed
