@lfrocky : Being able to turn into another character doesn't automatically mean they'll be able to defeat another person. When J'onn shapeshifts, he doesn't gain the powers of those he shapeshifts into. Superman is also not Surfer, so being able to break into Superman's mind is not the same as infiltrating Surfer's mind. Logic proved you wrong, man. Surfer annihilates Manhunter.

@lfrocky: he only copied mongul's form, not his powers. mongul doesn't have anything extra that MM already has at this point.

Hate to tell you this, but did you know the Surfer can track an individual many light years away, just on the individual's energy signature alone? The minute he saw "Galactus" and the energy signature was different?

Yeah, you get the picture.

MMH loses, because he simply does not have the speed to react to someone of Norrin's level of speed. Martian Manhunter is, by his own admission, slower than Flash, slower than Superman.

While there are admittedly, many similarities between these two characters, J'onn is not nearly as fast. J'onn gets blitzed and dealt with any number of different ways well before he can react, or even realizes that he has been blitzed.

Surfer, I'm not sure I see this as that good of a fight.

@kyrees: wrong, the only reason surfer wins against supermanis because of his cosmic awareness. If it wasn't for that supes would beat his ass. MM is stronger than supes, so I'm pretty sure he'll mop the floor with surfer.

@xxedward_kenwayxx: MM is only stronger than supes because he has better tp capabilities but against a guy that can sense you light years away and transmute you easily, MM is no match.

How does he do that to a guy who is demonstrably faster than him? Show me feats of J'onn moving faster than what Surfer has demonstrated he can do.

@captnmcdeadpool: Can't post scans at the moment but J'onn has had an entire conversation with Superman and Flash in under a second and has had no trouble keeping up and basically went H2H with a bloodlusted Flash. This is all Pre 52 though

@kyrees: yeah, like that helps surfer . He gets his ass handed to Thor a lot. Surfer has even stated that Mjolnir is mightier than his cosmic powers. I would put Martian man hunter on the same or a bit above Thor because of his intangibility and familiar powerset with Superman. Surfer will get some good hits but in the end man hunter will reduce him to nothing.

@xxedward_kenwayxx: thor is comparable to MM ? mjolnir might be stronger than the power cosmic but MM is rather useless if the power cosmic transmutes you. SS has far better reaction times than MM and ,unless it is stated, would MM's control over his body would be far superior than SS's cosmic powered molecular transmutation ?

familiar powerset ? is MM able to travel MFTL ? is MM able to shoot heat visions or artic breaths ? is MM able to recharge his body with the yellow or blue star ? the only similarity supes and MM has is their strength.
