Psychic fight
Current versions? MMH has all of 1 feat, and that's beating n52 Despero, who has no other feats to speak of...
Didn't this has been done to death?
yep.
Batman.
@dratini1331: He also took on the justice league alone, but thats not a psychic feat.
@baltoro: That's lowballing Pre 52 J'onzz. Anyways this is current versions
Siding with X here, since TP is his specialty and has been shown to be second to very few in the Marvel-verse.
@baltoro: Black Adam doesn't have telepathy.
@baltoro: That's lowballing Pre 52 J'onzz. Anyways this is current versions
I might have been lowballing him a little unintentionally, but it is still relevant to the thread. He underperformed against Black Adam in a telepathic battle but he did redeem himself at the end of the comic so no worries. I guess he can put up an okay fight against Professor X, but if Professor X is in his Cerebro this is a stomp.
@baltoro: Black Adam doesn't have telepathy.
It's more of a matter of him not using it usually, but he can bust it out if need be.
@baltoro: That wasn't him using TP, it was J'onn trying to invade his mind and being overcome by Adam's grief and sorrow, as well as Adam's general strength of will. Quite honestly, MMH has better feats pre-52 that X has, AFAIK. MMH has accessed the minds of everyone on the planet, and morals off he's essentially fernus.
Regardless, none of that matters because of the reboot.
@baltoro: Black Adam has very great TP resistance but still low balling considering J'onzz has resisted TP from Telepath who can operate on a planetary scale easily like against Mageddon. J'onzz would beat Professor Xavier(assuming it's Pre 52)in a TP battle
@baltoro: That's lowballing Pre 52 J'onzz. Anyways this is current versions
Xavier is currently dead :)
@fallschirmjager: Really?Well than officially this is the biggest stomp in history then(besides that Hulk vs TOAA thread)
Even dead, Xavier wins. ;)
Although. when he was alive, he has mindlinked with the Earth for extra power, and also with aliens to fight off Ego.
@baltoro: Exactly what he said below is what happened.

Scott killed Professor X. I forgot how exactly. But that's pretty pathetic regardless of the situation and shows that Professor X is nothing but a powerful telepath. Manhunter has more than just TP. he can use his martian vision to take out Xavier.
@averageinsanity: This is just a TP battle, so it's not allowing foe other things like Martian super strength, Martian Vision, phasing, etc. just TP

That wasn't telepathy, he just allowed Martian Manhunter to read his mind and MMH didn't like what he found there

Which should be PIS, but what are you going to do? Lol.
Xavier
J'onn by far. Shame how much CV lowballs him. J'onn has A LOT more feats in the New 52 between Stormwatch and JL etc So to say he just beat Despero is wrong. He's done a lot more then that.

scott didnt kill him that is a lie,the phoenix is the one that killed xavier.
How much did Phoenix care if Prof X told Scott he was a bad boy and needed to stop?
Scott with the (full) Phoenix Force (after taking it from Emma). As opposed to Jean, who helped him stop the Phoenix.
MMH shoves Xavier down the stairs.

not sure what that means.
For the first part, Jean Grey, with the full Phoenix Force, helped the Professor shut down the Dark Phoenix from within.
Scott, with half the Phoenix Force was inadequate to fight Professor X. (The point of this thread.) This puts Xaviers power (which is only Telepathy) as near that of Captain Britian in full Defender of the Multiverse mode.

Okay guys, it seems some people don't think the fetal position scan is relevant. That's fine, we have a little disagreement...I wasn't lowballing him though, it was just him having trouble with grim subject matter such as murder. The Manhunter has trouble dealing with the human condition. Charles Xavier would be able to project much worse atrocities into J'onnz's head and cause the same effect. He's lived through concentration camps where mutants were put to death like animals. He's going to bring all that into the fight against J'onnz.
Does Xavier get Cerebro or not? I'd say he takes it easily with Cerebro but it is around 50/50 without it. It really depends which Martian Manhunter shows up to the fight.
@baltoro: What we're saying is that the scan is irrelevant because it's not the same character. The Flashpoint has created a new entirely different timeline of characters with different back stories and powers. The J'onn in your scan is a completely different J'onn than the one in this thread. That's why it's irrelevant and we're not counter posting scans. It's not the same character.
I don't know that I can say J'onzz is a more powerful telepath as Xavier, but he is every bit as talented.
His first TP fight in his own series by Ostrander shows him dueling with Bette Noir, a being of pure psionic energy. Notice the game of telepathic cat and mouse they play with one another before J'onn finally gains the mastery of her:
Below, at the end of that same series, Bette Noir sets a recurring telepathic loop in J'onn's mind, causing him to relieve all his worst memories. Dude recognizes he's in a telepathic loop, shuts that part of his mind down and then conveys it to the real bad guy in that book, thereby freeing himself from said loop:
From JLA, he actually temporarily cures the Joker's insanity:
Shields the JLA telepathically from Manchester Black when the s(*@! hits the fan between the Elite and the JLA

So is J'onn more powerful a telepath than Xavier? Pff, you tell me.
Is he as talented. My guess is yes. I literally have a folder full of his telepathic feats. J'onn is a powerhouse telepath. Thank goodness for Xavier this is only a contest of minds.
@captnmcdeadpool: The best part is that he has better ones.Nice scans by the way :)
@reaverlation: Indeed. J'onn is da man!
Thx by the way!
J'onn takes this pretty easily.
People tend to forget three things, when setting up this particular fight.
1. Telepathy is less useful against shapeshifters(as stated by Xavier himself)
2. J'onn is a martian(duh), and in his base form, has a brain(and mind) that is completely different than that of a human, which is another disadvantage(albeit a smaller one) for Xavier.
And most importantly 3. J'onn's mind is capable of working at close to light-speed, if not FTL. Which gives him a huge advantage against Xavier in a telepathic fight.
With Pre-flashpoint J'onn, it would be a huge stomp, and even New-52 J'onn has this with relative ease.
@baltoro: That's lowballing Pre 52 J'onzz. Anyways this is current versions

Which always seemed like terrible writing, IMO.
J'onn's invaded Maggedon, Black Adam's mind shouldn't have fazed him.
