Manhunters speed and strength will win this for him
Martian Manhunter vs Magneto
Can MM's intangibility allow him inside Mags' forcefield? Cause unless he can, I'm calling this a draw.
By all indications, no. But a draw sounds about right. The only reason I give Magnus the advatage is because he's a tactical genius with time think behind his forcefield, and he can use his powers read his opponents energy signature and physiology and can even discern how their powers work given enough time. With his forcefield up, mags is too smart. Heis forcefield and powers give him time to formulate a strategy, and Martian doesn't have that advantage.
You'll find me discussing Magnetos in another thread...it's not fanboyness, it's just easier for me to concentrate on one character at a time. There was a JL vs. Xtinction thread up, and that inspired me to get into a couple more Magneto vs. Justice Leauger matches. I found an interesting match up between Nova Prime and Wonder Woman to I wanna get into, but only have enough concentration to research and debate 1 or 2 characters at a time.

Martian Manhunter can win this while eating oreos.
he can do that and kick Xavier's a$$ at chess.

Why not? Manhunter can simply go intangible and go up from underneath where Mags is standing, he can simply just blitz him too. Magnus is way out of his league, he doesn't have the reaction speed and the durability to contend with any top-tier DC bricks.

They're called chocos my friends.
I love me some Magneto and think he gets way underrated around here BUT in random encounter with no knowledge of one and other John Jones wins fairly easily. With a bit of prep it a harder fought battle because Magneto doesn't have alot of trouble generating fire with the power set he's shown in comics BUT AGAIN the manhunter from Mars is just to much for him.

Manhunters intangibility works on a molecular level; he displaces his molecules into a pocket realm I believe, but that still leaves the atomic and energy base, which Magneto can manipulate...Magneto's powers work on a subatomic level. Intangibility is not in effect. They can't blitz through his shield, and Manhunter isn't faster than light...Magneto DOES have FTL reactions, DOES have FTL tracking, and in any event, he doesn't need it. His forcefield works by thought. The ONLY person in DC who is feasibly fast enough to blitz him before his forcefield goes up is Flash, and it can be argued that even then it might not work.
The only person to phase through Magneto's shield did it specifically by modifying the energy frequency of her body (Photon was in light form) to slip through it. It was only a temporary fix, and in any event, I think he pretty much just slapped her out and modified his forcefield again. I know Manhunter can change his physical body a molecular level; but unless he can either alter the energy frequency of his body, or shield the EM Field binding his atoms together, there is no feasible reason to believe he can phase through Magneto's shields. He isn't FTL as he has stated himself that Superman is faster than him; Magneto has shown the ability to physically catch light speeders, and he has shown that he can react with his powers fast enough to stop even teleportation. (Halted nightcrawler mid-combat well fighting the other X-Men as well)
From behind his forcefield his options are pretty unlimited, as he's actually able to manipulate psionic energy with his powers as well, can gravity manipulate, etc.
@Stronger: if mm does that he can win but there is no setup for the fight so we can assume what we want you being a manhunter fan will debate using the power he has that will most likely give him the win which in this case is speed and strength.
me being an x-men fan will assume they fight like they do in the comics where both characters get the chance to defend themselves in which case magneto has the better chance of winning.
@SNascimento: desolve his atoms block the pulses from reaching his brain or heart and killing him i mean at full strength there is plenty magneto can do.

Magneto sh!ts his pants whenever he is forfed to face Thor.
What chances does he have against someone who could take on the JLA alone?
@wolverine1977: weird for MMH, seeing as his shape shifting ability is at a molecular level. He could just do something like this:

Magneto is overrated.
Manhunter stomps easily.
